Have you ever wondered what Owl House Spa in Diseworth is like? Well, so did Nancy Bradford, the lucky winner of the January ‘Flight of Fancy’ spa day competition.
Now, we could tell you that the spa is wonderful, the treatments were sublime and the food is delicious, but we’re biased, as we love the place. Nancy had never been on a spa day before so here’s her take on the delightful East Midlands spa.
“My daughter and I went for a "Flight of Fancy" spa day last week and absolutely loved it. I took my daughter as a birthday treat for the two of us. This was my first spa day and I am a convert.
“My daughter has been on a spa day before at one of the big, more commercial spas and said that the Owl House Spa was superior in every way. The spa is close enough to the M1 to make it easily accessible, but set in the beautiful countryside.
“The attention to detail is apparent from the moment you step in (I loved the treatment menus in pretty floral photo frames). The building is a contemporary barn conversion with the most amazing beams. Every detail has been well thought out to inspire the senses (lavender scent permeates, calming colour scheme and music).
“The staff are amazing and so helpful and nice. We loved the rain shower with posh toiletries. GHD straighteners were available for us to use as well as blow dryers, etc. My favourite part was our picnic lunch - an absolute Tardis of wonderful flavours, and I especially loved the elderflower presse.
“The personal touches really set it head and shoulders above some other spas, and I can’t praise this spa enough.”
If that isn’t enough to make you book a spa day and then enter our next free spa day competition, we don’t know what is…
