The word has clearly got out about Lifehouse Spa in Essex – the latest celebs to announce that they’ve spent some down time in the charming health spa are OK magazine staples Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid.
Apparently the twosome had a spa day at Lifehouse Spa in January and pregnant Chantelle tried the mum-to-be treatment ‘Hands, Knees and Bumps-a-Daisy’, while Alex relaxed with the Iconic Massage.
Hands, Knees and Bumps-a-Daisy is a calming BABOR treatment that’s designed to relax expectant mums and condition the skin as well, including a gorgeous stress-busting back massage and a conditioning pack for the bump! Your legs and arms are also rubbed – because it feels nice – but also because it helps to sort out any pesky water retention that pregnant ladies are a bit prone to.
It’s not the only pregnancy spa treatment on offer at Lifehouse – if you want to treat you and your bump to some extra TLC there’s also the lovely Fabulous Pins treatment that will help soothe your aching legs, when they throb after days of carrying around a little person. Perfect pins and refreshed tootsies will be yours after this yummy treatment. I wish it had been around when I was pregnant with Sophia!
I loved Lifehouse and I’m not surprised that the celebs are starting to pick up on it. My experience of the spa in Essex is that it doesn’t really matter who you are, you get treated like a star anyway. If you’re pregnant and need an excuse to book a pamper day, make like the B-listers and get yourself down to Thorpe-le-Soken, pronto…
