My husband and I are just back from an overnight spa break at the Richmond Gate Hotel, lovely location near Richmond lovely park. The break was a treat to my hubby for his birthday and I must say we both really enjoyed the stay including the 55 minute treatment.
Our room was located in the main part of the hotel, which was filled with charm and character. The bed was so comfy! We decided to take the light meal included in the package in our room. This was also lovely. With lots to choose from. More of a main meal to us as we didn't eat until 5.30pm.
Breakfast in the morning was good. After this we used the spa facilities before preparing to go home. The robe and slippers provided were handy, we used these to go to the spa. The sauna, steam room and hydro pool were all ok, though the steam room needs a refurbish. The fact you have to walk through the hotel to access the spa facilities is a little odd but doesn't detract from the experience.
We would definitely go again.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The massage was also great. The room was beautifully decorated and very modern but the window view wasn't very appealing but it wasn't too bad. The rest of the hotel was clean but a bit old fashioned in terms of decor. Would definitely go back!
Food was bland but bearable.
It’s difficult to find anything negative to say about the Richmond Gate Hotel. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the staff were really nice. It’s right on the doorstep of Richmond Park so I had a lovely walk before breakfast, making the eggs and bacon taste extra nice! The spa was great fun, too. All in all, I loved every minute and I can’t wait to go back one day.
Took my Mum for her birthday, hotel is clean and tidy, the facilities in the spa area were great. Fantastic hydrotherapy pool, and newly refurbished sauna and steam room. Massage for me really hit the spot and worked on my shoulders, but it was still relaxing. Afternoon tea had variety and there was a good choice at breakfast. Lovely, lovely staff, especially Anne on reception and Natalie the masseuse.
Celebratied my special birthday here. Enjoyed the whole package and was lucky enough to have had fantastic sunny weather so was able to make the most of the location by visiting the river. The treatments were relaxing and staff were helpful. Room had all the facitities I needed. Overall had a wonderful time. Thank you!
