This was booked as a present for my Mums 60th Birthday. Kim at SpaSeekers recommend this to me and it was lovely. We both had a massage which was the best I've had. Mum had a facial while I had a pedicure and would highly recommend both. The lunch was delicious and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Great day, amazing complex, good lunch. The only thing I'd say is provide slippers when its not exactly a cheap venue... Also maybe look into playing some soothing music in the rest areas as its almost too quiet to sleep if that makes sense. You could hear people trying to restrict breathing to keep noise down which was amusing. Oh and maybe some water beds, had these at another spa and they are amazing for a quick nap. Overall a superb place and a great day. One I will most definitely be doing again.
Just a few hours for our spa experience but thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Would love to return.
My friend and I enjoyed a truly chilled out day at Ragdale Hall yesterday. The facilities are fab from the retreat room for complete peace and quiet on a double bed or chaise longue (with duvets) to the spa area with the outdoor pool and candle pool we felt a million miles away from the stresses of life! The Beauty Therapists were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable ( my friend and I are qualified therapists so we have high standards ourselves! ) and the treatments using Elemis products were so relaxing and my skin was glowing afterwards! On the day we were also able to book an extra Clarins treatment ( I had an eye treatment and my friend had the foot treatment ) which were an added bonus and free if we purchased 2 Clarins products! Lunch was lovely with 3 courses served as part of our package, we certainly didn't expect the roast beef and Yorkshire puddings to be on the menu! We just can't wait to return for another blissful day soon! Thanks Spaseekers!
Last week I visited Ragdale Hall for the first time. I was greeted by a gentleman who took my bags to reception, we were checked in and offered a welcome drink. Our treatments and dinner had been booked for us. The thermal spa has a variety of different rooms to explore as well as an outside pool and even though it was cold outside this was lovely and warm. All areas of the spa and hotel are of a high standard as well as the food and the treatments were superb, just can't wait to go back.
Booked a Pure Detox Day. Although it seems expensive at first, the treatments received were excellent and good quality with a 1 hour Swedish massage, 40 minute detox thigh and stomach treatment and a fresh feet treatment which I upgraded to a full pedicure directly with Ragdale for an extra £13. Lunch is a full 3 courses with both the starter and dessert ordered via a waitress and the main course being a buffet with hot and cold food. Great facilities, huge pool area, outside water feature with massage jets, multiple steam, sauna and sensory rooms. Several relaxation and sitting areas plus two coffee shops and a restaurant. Very clean facilities; staff helpful, professional and courteous. Will return. Spa Seekers were also very professional and friendly when booking with Virgin Experience Vouchers.
The service at Ragdale Hall was helpful and efficient. The atmosphere was calming in a clean environment. Totally enjoyed the massage and dinner after. Would love to go back and take my husband as well. Thank you SpaSeekers for helping me to find such a lovely place.
I visited Ragdale Hall for the day in June and would definitely like to return. As soon as I walked through the door I was made to feel most welcome and was offered a complimentary coffee, whilst a member of the team went through my planner for the day on a one to one basis. I was then given a tour of the hall. I spent my morning in the pool area and thermal spa, which was so relaxing. The thermal spa was a real treat. My lunch was included in the package price and was excellent value for money. In the afternoon I had a Ragdale facial, which was one of the best I have ever had. Following my facial I went and bought products in the shop and then visited the gift shop for some treats to take home. The overall cleanliness of the hall was excellent as was the service of the staff/therapists. There are plenty of quiet places to rest/sleep and unwind! The day went too quick however!
The service was excellent, right from the first greeting at Reception. I arrived early but I was provided with refreshments and made to feel welcome until my room was ready for me. My room was very comfortable, although as the weather was unseasonably and exceptionally hot it was a little too warm, although a fan was provided. As the weather was so good I was able to make use of the grounds which are superb. My first treatment, a full body massage was the best I've ever had, and I've had a few. My other treatments were very relaxing etc but the massage stays in my mind! I left feeling totally refreshed and feeling as though I could stay forever.
I checked in just for one day and have the maximum I could fit in! Wonderful back massage, thorough face treatment, manicure and pedicure. Very good practitioners, cheerful and professional in every way. The thermal pool with all its little areas of differing therapies was amazing, especially the candlelit one. I found this very exciting. Lunch too was spectacular in its variety: I sat with other single people which were pleasant. Most of them were staying the week - wished I was! Check in with a welcome drink was efficient and quick. Checking out was sad though! In my short time at Ragdale I could find nothing to complain about honestly. Try for yourselves and you might even meet me there as I certainly propose a return visit.
I had a warm welcome, quick and efficient registration and was able to reschedule the timings of appointments with no fuss. The staff were pleasant and helpful and I found the treatments excellent. The thermal pool complex is amazing! So many new ways of assembling water with heat and cold - try the volcanic experience for instance. Lunch delicious and what a joy to sit in the grounds in a deck chair staring at the lily pond. There is a comprehensive exercise programme tailored to different levels of achievement with a daily changing schedule, plus interesting talks and demonstrations in the evenings. Mine was a day visit so I can only go on hearsay for the rooms and suites: I was offered the use of a bedroom for the day at a reasonable price, but would not have had time for it! Best was the general ambiance of peaceful relaxation.
This was my third visit to Ragdale and each time I am impressed with facilities, the courtesy and the great food. I never want to leave and come home planning to save for next time.
This was my first time to Ragdale Hall. It definitely won't be the last. From the moment you stepped out your car the service was outstanding. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the food was excellent. There was an excellent variety of treatments and classes. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. The only thing that I would be negative about was the £3.50 charge for the towelling robes which I feel is a little bit cheeky when you have paid good money already for your stay. I have been to other spa's where the towelling robes and slippers are complimentary. Overall I would say 10 out of 10 experience.
Excellent service, lovely place - very, very relaxing. Feel entirely comfortable at Ragdale. I don't want to go anywhere else!
What a relaxing stay; lovely food and great facilities.
After visiting Brooklands Health Spa in Garstang at least once a year for about 12 years, it was with some trepidation I booked into Ragdale this January. I need not have been concerned. My room was wonderful (economy single) and the staff were so welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent (I chose to eat alone but the option for company was available). The facilities were stunning and I particularly loved the thermal spa. On my three night stay certain treatments were included and I also booked some extras. All these were relaxing and the staff were considerate and friendly. I had such a good experience that I am booked in for a four night stay in September. My recommendation is to visit Ragdale and if you are a single traveller you will still enjoy the experience I am sure.
I've been visiting Ragdale Hall now for well over 10 years. I started with day visits and now stay on their two night taster break. I really can't rate the place highly enough. From the moment you arrive you are made to feels relaxed and looked after. The staff can't do enough for you, particularly on the treatments reception. I love the thermal spa which has been open a few years now.
I am writing this on behalf of my wife Sandra and daughter Marisha who I surprised with a 3 day visit arranged at Ragdale Hall. Well, what can I say; I work abroad and have not seen my ladies for at least six months and I get all the fun and adventure so, I thought it was time for them to have a bit of the good life so to speak. All I can say is it was worth every penny to hear them exalt about their experience, Sandra had not been well and these three days did her the power of good. Both of them just could not shut up about the staff and the facilities. When they explained husbands also went I will have a major problem on my hands if we should win, or will it be a case of home alone while my ladies live up the good life. Thank you all at Ragdale Hall for giving my Queen and Princess the time of their lives.
Spent a fabulous spa day with my friend on a Saturday, we enjoyed aqua aerobics, use of the gym and then headed to the thermal spa which is out of this world!! Not many health farms offer such extensive areas included in your day rate, makes the additional you spend to go to Ragdale absolutely worth it. If you spend more on your day you also get to use different changing rooms which are much quieter. Staff really are so very helpful, and the beauty therapist who gave me my facial had an amazing sense of touch and level of professionalism. Buffet lunch was delicious and waiting staff very attentive. Most relaxing seven hours of my year so far!
It was so nice to be pampered and looked after. The staff were so helpful and courteous, I stayed with my cousin and we felt so relaxed and revived, its one of the best decisions I have made for a long time. We have had a few bad years and most recently I lost my Mother in October, and after all the upset and trauma, I can honestly say it was the best pick me up I could have had. Definitely will be visiting again!
I have stayed at Ragdale Hall 3 times now and each time has been superb. The meals are wonderful and all the staff are so friendly, efficient and courteous. I have never had any reason to be in the slightest bit disappointed with any part of the stay there and always look forward to another visit!
Have just returned from Ragdale Hall Health Retreat; this spa is, in my opinion, the best we know in the UK. We have been to a few but Ragdale is the most relaxing. The staff are very welcoming, quite a few have been there a while and always recognise us. The place is spotlessly clean and all the staff that carry out the treatments are so professional, and you never feel rushed when you are having your treatments, which I think makes all the difference. In the evening, after meals, they have a talk for about 40 minutes; one of the talks on Sunday night was about laughter. Well it was the most entertaining 45 minutes and we laughed all the way through. I cannot find anything negative to say about this spa. Thoroughly recommended!!!
Ragdale Hall offers a peaceful location with great amenities. It has a new addition of outside water feature with massage jets that is warm winter or summer, and together with the other steam, sauna and quiet rooms, offers a treatment experience in its own right. The outdoor pool is great in the good weather and the tennis courts and bikes are there to keep you fit. I am not a gym user and leave that to others but my daughters say the exercise and dance classes are great. Finally, the food and choice of wine are excellent. If I have one negative, it is that they do not have gin and tonic on offer, I love one before my evening meal, but this is a Health Spa after all, so for a short break I cope quite well.
During our 3 night stay at the Ragdale Hall spa we were so well looked after, it was an absolute pleasure being there. I would recommend it to anyone and I believe you would come out of the experience feeling new; because I did! Being a very busy secondary school teacher I can feel badly run down by the end of a term but the wonderful team at Ragdale Hall took such good care of us that I was completely refreshed and revived by the time I went back to school. My husband is very particular about food but, after a short discussion, the chef at Ragdale Hall made something especially for him and very much to his taste. Being both practicing Muslims, we needed a place to pray and we were provided with a very suitable place each time by a very friendly member of the team. Every one was so friendly, polite and helpful that they made us feel right at home. Expensive, yes; but worth every penny!
