This was a great experience, the hotel is lovely with spectacular views. We were upgraded (which was not asked for) due to the TV not working. This was done with no hassle. The reception staff were patient and professional. The spa girls were lovely and the treatments were absolutely fantastic.
Our room was large but very dull, to make coffee after finding the facility (top shelf of wardrobe, scary as I am not tall) no immediate plug points the only one I saw was on the skirting board on the floor. BUT we had an amazing front of house manager who took all stress away and changed our room to a fantastic upgrade suite. I am sorry I did not get his name, please find him he is a star.
From the hotel staff to the staff in the spa I could not fault them, very professional and attentive from start to finish I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a day spa, weekend or just treating youself to a treatment, a relaxing environment with great views over the Firth of Forth.
Came today to the Macdonald Marine. From arrival to leaving we were extremely well looked after. I have had a few spa days including some very luxurious ones. Macdonald is up there with the rest of them. Fantastic day and feel 100% relaxed! Shall be back soon.
