Easy booking great price and definitely value for money. Had a fabulous 2 day break and spa experience would definitely recommend. Food excellent, facial fab, afternoon tea great hotel very nice .
All staff were welcoming and helpful. Marina was my therapist and the massage and facial were excellent. Dinner and breakfasts and afternoon tea were all excellent as well. We were given a complimentary upgrade into a lake view room. Note that parking is an extra charge but you can park at the door to unload then the concierge valet parks it for you.
A Christmas treat for my husband and myself ... totally glad we did it as we thoroughly enjoyed the experience... spa treatments were fabulous, staff were all pleasant, polite, helpful, respectful at all times. Our room was comfortable, overlooking the lake ... dinner and breakfast were both excellent ... if I had to make a negative comment about our experience it would be the check in time of 3pm is too late and parking is rather steep - but otherwise we loved every minute.
Fantastic overnight stay on 27th December and an upgraded lake view room when we arrived. SpaSeekers were easy to use and we got a fab deal, saving a few hundred pounds on the direct price with hotel. Would recommend using SpaSeekers and will use them again. Hotel was beautiful, breakfast was good with an array of foods but a little expensive for drinks and although the parking is £20 which we used it was hassle free although a bit steep, but Bowness is terribly expensive for parking anyway.
We visited the Macdonald Old England for a relaxing pre-Christmas break and were not disappointed. Booking through SpaSeekers (for the first time) was smooth, problem-free and all questions and queries were answered as soon as they arose. Throughout our stay the hotel staff were so helpful and polite, our treatments, evening meal and breakfast lived up to expectation and the entire break was a real pleasure. The location was absolutely perfect and Bowness was such a delightful place but SpaSeekers and Macdonald were key to making our weekend so amazing.
