We got to the the spa at 10.30am, the spa was clean, quiet and staff friendly. The hotel where the spa was was modern, the front of the hotel was very old, it was a nice contrast. The spa was nice and people very friendly. The only downside was there was no Jacuzzi in the spa but it didn’t ruin our experience. We went for our treatments at 1.30pm, a facial and massage. The treatments were amazing, it was the best massage I’ve had and the facial left my skin glowing. We had afternoon tea which was nice. The whole day was lovely. The only thing I would say was that the hotel was very cold. It was chilly in the swimming pool area and the main part of the hotel. There was a small fire going in one of the lounges but it didn’t make much difference unfortunately. Overall it was a lovely day and I had a great birthday.
The booking was made for a double room, but I was allocated a twin room for me and my wife, if I had know that I wouldn't have booked it.
The hotel and the staff were excellent and made up for the booking error.
All the staff were very polite and friendly, beautiful relaxation room upstairs in the spa area itself. I had the hour long Elemis facial, it was amazing and my therapist Lucy was fab. The treatment rooms were beautiful and relaxing.
My husband had what he described as the best back massage ever and my 'Best Foot Forward' was wonderful. We both felt very relaxed and pampered.
From the moment we entered the spa, it was clear this was both a friendly and welcoming place. The gym was great with up to date equipment, weights and good music; the pool is an excellent size for a hotel pool and deapite the aqua aerobics class, there was also room to swim! The robes and facilities were lovely and the massages.....wow!! Emma, our masseuse, was so friendly, helpful and exceptionally good at her job. A wonderful day.
