About

The glorious Dorset countryside is famous for its natural beauty, fun attractions and sunny disposition. But we think we’ve found something that makes time spent in this bucolic bolthole even more relaxing - the award-winning Arcadia Spa at The George Albert Hotel.

Nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty between the county town of Dorchester and the Somerset town of Yeovil, the Arcadia Spa has an enviable West Dorset location. Where else can you go from ocean-hike to Iron Age hill fort to Bridport brasserie, all in one day? But while it makes an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic Coast and visiting attractions such as the Cerne Abbas Giant and Abbey, chances are you’ll find it hard to wrench yourself away from all that’s on offer right here in Arcadia.

The idyllic retreat boasts a sauna, steam room and hot tub, along with soul-soothing rituals from the cocoon-like comfort of six tempting treatment rooms. With luxury body polishes, relaxing massages and Nimue facials that make it look like you’re ageing backwards, you’ll arrive frazzled then float out looking (and feeling) like you’ve just had two weeks in the Med.

The independently-owned Arcadia Spa nestles in The George Albert Hotel, so making a weekend of it will always be a temptation. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, 39 sleek rooms offer contemporary comforts from WiFi to elegant furnishings. Kick back and relax at the hotel’s restaurant, Kings, or enjoy morning coffee (or a post-massage cocktail) in the cosy lounge.
