About

Dreaming of a top-to-toe wellbeing boost? You’ll find it at Bannatyne Hastings, a sumptuous Sussex country retreat deep in the historic heart of 1066 country. Enveloped by 38 acres of lush gardens and whimsical woodlands, this Georgian masterpiece was built back in 1764. Today, every corner tells a story - and every feature is tailormade to spoil you.

Check in, then chill out. Each of the hotel’s 38 en-suite rooms is a cocoon of contemporary comfort, with many offering picturesque views of the formal gardens. Indulge your taste buds at Maxine's Restaurant, where culinary masterpieces and hand-crafted cocktails make the perfect way to round off a busy day of being pampered.

But the biggest draw for those seeking the ultimate in blissful breaks has to be the adjoining Health Club and Spa. Just a one-minute walk from the hotel, this world of wellness offers a serene swimming pool, sauna and steam room, along with outdoor hot tubs for those who like their R and R with a bit of vitamin D. Five tranquil treatment rooms are home to an encyclopaedia of Elemis rituals and beauty treats designed to rejuvenate your body and soul.

Hit the well-equipped gym, or try a class. Find your zen in yoga or Pilates, or feel the burn with Body Attack or Spin. Afterwards, the licensed on-site Cafe Bar will reward you with a delicious breakfast or light lunch, along with a healthy smoothie, Starbucks coffee or perhaps a cheeky glass of Prosecco or two!

Beyond the luxurious amenities, the hotel is a gateway to heritage-rich attractions, including the fabulous Hastings Castle and the nearby Battle Abbey. If you’re a fan of seaside resorts be sure to spend some time on Hastings Pier and to take a ride on the East Hill Cliff Railway. St Clements Caves are also well worth a visit, and the impressive Jerwood Gallery is a magnet for art lovers.

Whether you seek a serene sanctuary, a romantic escape, or a getaway with a group of like-minded friends, the fantastic leisure facilities and incredible location will deliver an experience far beyond the ordinary. Bannatyne Hastings isn't just an escape - it's a destination, and it’s one that’s sure to wow you.

First on your relaxation to-do list? It has to be a treatment. Pick from Elemis massages, results-driven facials, scrubs and wraps. Your pampering will take place in a zen-like spa area with comfortable single and dual treatment rooms along with manicure and pedicure stations.

Post-massage, a relaxation room with heated stone loungers beckons. Take a break and relax with a book or magazine, or just enjoy some quiet time. And with spray tan booths too, you’ll leave looking and feeling like you’ve just had two weeks in the Med.

Your feel-good journey doesn’t end here, though. Flit between the sleek indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room in the Health Club, or head outside to relax in an outdoor jacuzzi. Then all that’s left to do is to enjoy a light lunch with a glass of bubbly from the luxurious spa Cafe Bar.

There’s even Technogym SKILLROW, SKILLMILL and SKILLBIKES to get to grips with, and a dedicated fitness team on hand to show you the (battle) ropes.

A friend and are managed to get a Christmas Eve free of children (I know!) and we chose to have a spa day. Bannatynes Hastings was wonderful. All Staff were amazingly professional, helpful and friendly, and made us feel very welcome, despite the fact that it was Christmas Eve and they probably just wanted to be getting ready for Christmas! We had breakfast in the bar, which was very reasonably priced. Our massages were fantastic. We didn’t want to leave the relaxation room (could have gone to sleep as soon as I lay down). Thank you for a relaxing day. Can’t wait to visit again!

I had a good experience at Bannatyne's yesterday. The gym has a very good range of equipment, and there's a nice big Jacuzzi with jets and bubbles. As well as the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. I was really impressed with the facial and scalp massage.
