Very Enjoyable Day This was a first experience of a Spa resulting from receiving it as a Birthday. I was made to feel very comfortable starting with a very warm welcoming. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, ensuring that everything went smoothly. All my treatments which, included, Massage, Facial and Pedicure were first class.I made use of the facilities such as the sauna and swimming pool and enjoyed a walk in the lovely gardens before sitting down to a very pleasant lunch.I would certainly recommend my chosen Spa and consider it again. If so I would again choose a quiet period to experience the personal attention that I received.Thank You,Dawn Williams |

Very Special We had a lovely stay; the manager of the spa was so helpful and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The lunch was lovely, as were the treatments, and overall we enjoyed the experience and would go again. I think the only minor issue was having to go outside from the pool/relaxation area to get to the treatment room... not fabulous in the winter. But would be perfect in the summer as you could sit in the courtyard quite nicely in a robe. Would go again and will probably stay a night this time |

Top-to-toe pampering My Tylney Hall spa experience was a heavenly dream. The service was excellent, highly personal and professional. My treatments (body exfoliation, massage, facial and manicure/pedicure) were faultless. I find it hard to relax (hence I booked a spa day as a real treat), and I actually almost fell asleep during the blissful facial! I had a lovely light lunch in the elegant drawing room, and took a walk in the stunning grounds after lunch. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful, a real country retreat. This day was relaxation personified. Utterly wonderful. |

total relaxation Beautiful surroundings, helpful staff and wonderful treatments. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing day being totally pampered. The lunch was beautifully presented and served in the courtyard. The treatments were carried out with faultless professionalism and we could find no negatives at all. Would highly recommend Tylney Hall, you will feel totally relaxed at the end of your spa day. |

Small but perfectly formed! I visited the Spa as a treat for my daugheter on her birthday. She had just returned from Arizona on a conservation project and was looking forward to being spoilt and Tylney Hall did us proud. Immediately we arrived the reception staff organised someone to show us to the Spa. The Spa and facilities are quite small but this made for a cosy intimate experience whereby my daughter & I were able to catch up on the news in luxurious surroundings. The buildings and surrounding grounds are glorious, the Pool and Gym are quite small but extremely clean and with up to date gym equipment. Lunch was taken in the main Hotel in a beautifully decorated room with a roaring Log Fire. Treatments offered are many & varied and the treatments included in our spa day treat were not hurried in any way as can so often be the case in the larger spas. Both the Manager and the therapist who looked after us were experienced, chatty and friendly. All in all a wonderful birthday for my daughter and an extra treat for myself. My only complaint would be thet the jacuzzi could be a bit warmer! |

Striking and relaxing Tylney Hall is a massive estate with a beautiful long sweeping drive and old trees, a garden designed by someone very famous. It\'s very relaxing just to take a stroll around the grounds, to clear your head and re-centre yourself. The formal dining room has lovely food - I\'ve never been disappointed - and a pianist together with lit candles add to the overall ambience. The service is exceptional. The Spa itself is close to what used to be the old stables. It\'s basic but lovely all the same. The pool is warm and has a jacuzzi suitable for up to around 8 people. There are chairs and tables at the end of the swimming pool set on a platform (allowing you to eat/drink) - and various loungers by a lovely sun spot area where you can don your dressing gown and walk outside in the gardens in-between swims! The dressing rooms provide lockers, fresh towels, showers, toilets and a sauna. However the sauna\'s are single sex so you cannot take a sauna with your partner (sorry non-hetro readers!) as they are located in the respective changing rooms. My partner said the male sauna wasn\'t very large - 4 people only could comfortably fit in there. The whole feel of Tylney Hall is oldy worldy, with dark wooden panelling. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. There\'s a fitness room which I didn\'t use, a snooker room which was great with few visitors and that\'s about it. We enjoyed our visit so much the first time around that it felt we\'d been away for a week rather than 2 days (1 night). We were on a tight budget so didn\'t have any treatments. Overall satisfaction would have been 15/15 because we did really enjoy ourselves and we were really relaxed - and the hotel staff couldn\'t have been more welcoming. However I have been to better spa\'s. What they have IS an excellent hotel with some nice clean spa facilities... but they didn\'t have enough spa facilities to make me feel this was truly a spa hotel. I would have liked to have seen roman baths/dips, special showers, scented steam rooms, ice baths, orange baths, a large mixed sauna etc etc. so for that reason my satisfaction level for the purposes of this review is 12/15. |
