Substandard changing rooms and showers. Pump on jacuzzi not working. No explanation or guidance about facilities. Had to carry round coats, bags, umbrellas until we asked about lockers. Seating arrangements for pedicure uncomfortable. Nail varnish had wrinkled by the end of the stay. Enjoyed facial and lunch was delicious but long walk through hotel whilst in towelling robes. Wouldn't return or recommend.
Incredible value for money - the 3 course meal was top quality, as well as the breakfast (all included in our package!) Basic but lovely spa facilities. The staff were wonderful, giving us a complementary upgrade to a seafront room! There was a pool, snooker, tabletennis and mini-football table for any boredom, and a TV in the room. A wonderful, relaxing stay. Four stars did not do the hotel justice!
Had it not been for the weather being exceptional the "spa" facilities were very poor. Basically it it a normal hotel small indoor swimming pool, no room for sitting around or relaxing.
The staff were really helpful and the treatments and facilities were good, good value for money but the leisure facilities could do with a bit of updating. The lunch which was included in price was only a sandwich and crisps.
Everything about my spa day was great. The treatments were amazing, during the facial I fell asleep, and it was just so relaxing! I think my only criticism of this spa is that it is quite cold. There is air conditioning on even in the coldest months and when your swimming or relaxing it can be really cold! For a 4* hotel, it needs a bit of work doing, like these are a few tiles off in the bathroom and it generally needs a little makeover, but all the same it was still a lovely place to go. I especially liked the relaxation room, really nice loungers to lie / sit on while reading a magazine with a tea or coffee and plenty of fresh fruit available.
