Luxurious Relaxing Treat We booked a relaxation day treat with two treatments and lunch, as a Mothers day treat for my mum and I. The package appeared excellent value for money, therefore we were ever so slightly dubious as to the quality of the spa we would be visiting and the facilities on offer. We were not however disappointed at all. On arrival the spa was impressive and spotlessly clean. We were given a tour of the facilities before being given our robes and slippers and entering the spa area. The pool is big enough to enjoy a proper swim and although some of the decor is a bit tired, the spa offered everything you need to relax. There were also plenty of chairs and loungers around the pool available for use, unlike in some spas where all poolside chairs are constantly in use. The lunch was lovely. There was a huge selection from which to choose our meal and the staff could not have been more helpful. excellent special day The setting is beautiful within the grounds of Goodwood House with views of the South Downs. The immediate impression is of well kept grounds, golf course adjacent, elegant buildings and quiet opulance. Friendly helpful staff that are not overpowering but gently considerate. I went with my two adult daughters and our treatments were all at the same time, so we were able to enjoy a leisurely swim in the warm pool, time in the adjacent Jacuzzi and sauna before a light lunch in the specially built restarant looking out on the grounds. The staff here were quick and efficient and seemed to take a pleasure in making sure we had all we needed and enjoyed beautifully cooked locally sourced food. We then went for our treatments in very comfortable rooms with again every consideration for our comfort, we came out feeling new women! Could be better I had a pleasant day. So why the average rating? The staff were trying desperately not to be judgemental but the atmosphere came across as being one of \'ah, well, you\'re not wealthy enough to come here very often, so...\' It made us a little uncomfortable. The treatments 2 months ago were advertised as manicure and pedicure, there was no mention of just a file and polish (as is now) and I was really disappointed as this was what I was looking forward to the most. The massage and facial were great and the oils used were lovely. The sanitary disposal units in the toilets were fit to bursting. As you pay extra for the weekend it ought to be noted that families will be in the pool and the pool is divided. I saw a child re-enter the pool area with outdoor shoes on. No staff were attending to challenge this. It\'s not lunch, it\'s a �10 voucher and there is only one item on the menu for this. Really relaxing day My mum, my sister and myself had a lovely day spa together, everyone was helpful and cheerful. The spa facilities weren\'t overcrowded and were all working and clean. It is a shame there isn\'t a quiet room available to sit and relax while waiting for treatments, we sat in the bar/restaurant area but as my mum didn\'t want to use the spa facilities it would have been nice for her to sit quietly with a coffee while she read for a bit. The treatments were lovely and we all enjoyed them and left the hotel feeling spoiled! A real treat I was given this spa day for my birthday and was delighted to be welcomed by very cheerful staff at the spa desk (having been helped by staff at the main hotel and another reception desk first). The gym and pool facilities were good and the spa treatments were superb. I had a lovely lunch in the sunshine whilst enjoying the West Sussex country side and watching the golfers. A lovely pamper experience My mum was 70 on 31st August and I thought it would be a lovely surprise to have a girly day together on her birthday; being pampered at The Goodwood Hotel, before heading off for a celebratory meal in the evening. My mum had the DeLuxe package, which included a manicure and pedicure, and on completion said \"I feel wonderful, completely massaged from head to toe and totally relaxed. Do I look 10 years younger, because I feel it!\" The weather was glorious and we were able to sit out on the terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds before lunch. All in all, a wonderful experience, the only downside being we had to have our treatments in the morning due to availability and mum didn�t want to go into the sauna/steam room or pool and wash away the body oils they had used. Mum loved it so much she would like us to return again on her next birthday and bring her granddaughters with us too! Lovely experience We went for a �Lovers Pamperday� at the end of July and had a great time. On arrival the staff at the hotel reception were not sure where they had to send us with our SpaSeekers voucher. First we went to the gym, which is the best one we have ever been to; superb equipment! The pool is nice and the whirlpool very relaxing. The facilities are all great, although the steam room could have been hotter. For lunch we sat outside and had delicious food. Unfortunately, the voucher did not cover all costs. The massages were very relaxing and left us dozing off. Would definitely come back! A big thank you to the staff!
