Hotel was smart, clean and staff very friendly. Spa area was easily accessed, and relaxed and pleasant. Mixed feelings about treatments, mine were fine, but my friends were not done at the scheduled time we were given on the confirmation form, and she felt they were rushed. We were given ropey old robes which had seen better days, other people seemed to be wearing better ones. Food was fine but not wow, and we waited over an hour for our main course at dinner. No explanation, many people were moaning about the wait. Hotel itself is in the middle of nowhere, so nothing else to do or see, so don't go for anything other than the spa experience. On the whole an OK trip, but probably wouldn't go back. Have been to better ones.
My friend and I had the little piece of heaven experience today and had a really enjoyable day. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the facilities were clean and our treatments happened on time. Our treatments included massage, facial and hand/foot buff and polish. I would recommend this venue and experience.
My daughter and I went for a spa day yesterday to celebrate both our birthdays. We had a lovely day - facial and massage, use of the gym and pool and a lovely lunch to top it all. Excellent facilities and staff all helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend the experience to others
Great weekend. Spa treatments, Food, accommodation, staff , hotel . Staff were lovely to us. Invited us to join in their Christmas parties and given a free bottle of wine on both nights. Had extra treatments on the Sunday as half price for the day. Will go again for sure.
My sister and I had a good day at this spa. The treatments were professional and up to expectations but we were allocated the time and would have preferred not to have had them on arrival but it wasn't possible to change them. Possibly this was because of the last minute booking. The treatment area and relaxation room are nicely furnished and very pleasant but my main criticism is that there is not a place to sit and relax in the pool / sauna area where you can chat or read. There are only 4 loungers around the pool and they get splashed by swimmers and dripped on by condensation from the windows. The light lunch included in the spa deal was good and we chose to get dressed for lunch rather than sit in the restaurant in our robes.Overall a good day but I may try somewhere else next time with more extensive facilities.
