Myself and a friend went to wrightington hotel and country club for a day spa. We both found that the facilities where excellent and the over all experience was very enjoyable and relaxing. We had body massages and facials which were heavenly. That relaxation room was also lovely with comfy loungers, relaxing music and refreshments when you wanted them. We also had lunch included in our spa day and it was extremely nice and their was a variety of choice. The staff were very professional and made the day go very smoothly.

The staff at the spa were very nice and friendly, apart from when I informed them one of us had a medical condition - she knew we could still use the spa and have the treatments but was unsure about the other facilites and had a look of horror on her face and got flustered. I felt this was totally inappropriate and unprofessional and as you book into the spa for your pamper day and using the facilities is all part of this they should be trained on the conditions they ask about in the questionnaire they give you.The treatments we had were lovely, very relaxing and we were both in the same treatment room which was great. The spa itself was modern, very clean and they had a lovely display for Valentines. I can't say the same about the hotel they need to do some maintenance in the pool / jacuzzi areas which had dirty grouting on the tiles and was dirty round some of the fittings. Overall we had a lovely day and theres a really nice pub just up the road to have lunch in - I would definately have a spa treatment again as neither of us had tried it before but not at this hotel, I wouldn't say it deserved its 4 star rating.Guest Rating -
