Treatments great, facilities lacking
Myself and 2 friends had a mini pamper day at Wokefield Park. Our treatments were scheduled in the afternoon so we had the morning to relax. We were disappointed that the swimming pool was not in the same building as the spa and we also had to go to the golf shop to get a keycard to enter the pool area. We used the pool, sauna and hot-tub and then headed back to the restaurant for lunch. Lunch was a buffet starter and dessert with a choice of main course (roast turkey, sweet & sour pork, fish cakes). After our leisurely lunch we went back to the spa for our treatments. There were only 2 therapists available so two of us had treaments at the same time and one had to wait alone. Treatments were excellent! The tiny changing room area does not have any lockers for bags and there was no hairdryer. The spa staff were lovely and did not try to sell us beauty products as they do at other spas!

Could of been 5*
The service of the staff and the treatments were excellent along with the cleanliness, the only thing that let this Spa Day down from getting 5* was the fact the swimming pool was in a seperate building which was a 5 min walk from the other Spa facilities and to get to the swimming pool you had to walk through a Sports bar which on the day of our visit was holding a golf tourement. There was also nowhere you could sit and relax to read a book or a magazine for a few hours. I wouldnt return unfortunately

Disappointing
The spa and spa treatments at this venue, were absolutely excellent, the staff at the Spa centre were very professional and efficient. It's a shame I cannot say the same for the venue being Wokefield Park, I was really disappointed with the Hotel, it would seem that Hotel's primary aim is to cater for Corporate Events, Weddings and Golfers. Great for the spa, but not for residential.

Excellent luxury break
Went for a spa break with my mum. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt very welcome. The staff were more than helpful. The rooms were decorated lovely, the food was excellent, the mini spa treatment was great. We have recommended Wokefield Park to all our friends. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

PITY ABOUT THE POOL
THE TREATMENTS WERE LOVELY, BUT WE WERE REALLY DISSAPPOINTED THAT THE POOL WAS IN A DIFFERENT BUILDING,THROUGH A CONFERENCE CENTRE AND THROUGH A BAR, FULL OF MEN WATCHING THE CRICKET! THEN WE HAD TO GO TO THE GOLF SHOP TO GET A TOWEL! I LOVE SWIMMING AND I WANTED TO REALLY ENJOY IT, BUT IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING AND EVEN MORE OF A DOWNER WHEN LOTS OF KIDS THEN CAME IN! THE POINT OF THE BREAK WAS TO BE IN A KID FREE ENVIRONMENT. ON THE PLUS SIDE, IT WAS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE. WE WOULD DEFINATELY USE THE SERVICES OF SPA SEEKERS AGAIN, THAT SIDE OF THINGS WAS VERY WELL HANDLED, WE JUST CHOSE THE WRONG VENUE FOR OUR NEEDS, NEXT YEAR WE WILL BOOK A PROPER SPA,AND WALK ROUND IN ROBES FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND!

More a hotel than a spa
We arrived at Wokefield park and immediately went in for our treatment - a salt srub which was very nice but quite rushed as other people were waiting outside the door. The pool was on a different site on the premises so there was no way of getting there in dressing gowns in a relaxed manner! The hotel was lovely, room clean and comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful although they did not know anything about us when we arrived, however this was quickly rectified. The restaurant was closed due to a wedding but we were able to eat at a buffet style restaurant at the conference centre, the food here was nice but the atmosphere was pretty canteen like. I had a great time but this was more to do with the company than the actual Spa experience itself, as that was quite minimal. Overall I would say that for value for money this was a pretty good deal, but we would try a different hotel next time in order to get a real Spa experience.

Beautiful place - poor service
I went to Wokefield with my mom as a spa experience treat to celebrate the end of my exams. It was a Friday night. We arrived around 2pm, and were immediately impressed by the beauty of the place. The grounds and buildings are fantastic. Check in was painless, after which we had our spa treatments which we were also very satisfied with. Thereafter, and where my first complaint comes in, my mom and I were sitting in our room when one of the cleaning staff just barged into our room! Without knocking or giving any notice! She just let herself in, walked right to the middle of the room, continued to ask if we needed an extra bed, and upon my response through gaping jaws, she walked out muttering a very unconcerned apology. I was absolutely flabbergasted! We could've been showering, changing, anything! Very poor. An hour or so later came the next disappointment when I tried to order room service and was told the entire building was not offering room service that day due to a wedding taking place. Once again, appalling! The lady did, however, manage to find us some cool drinks, however, had we wanted food (which luckily we didn't) that would've been out of the question. When the drinks were delivered, the waiter told me I was not allowed to put it on my room tab and that I had to pay cash. When I asked why, all I got in response was "Sorry mam
