Treatments great, facilities lacking
Myself and 2 friends had a mini pamper day at Wokefield Park. Our treatments were scheduled in the afternoon so we had the morning to relax. We were disappointed that the swimming pool was not in the same building as the spa and we also had to go to the golf shop to get a keycard to enter the pool area. We used the pool, sauna and hot-tub and then headed back to the restaurant for lunch. Lunch was a buffet starter and dessert with a choice of main course (roast turkey, sweet & sour pork, fish cakes). After our leisurely lunch we went back to the spa for our treatments. There were only 2 therapists available so two of us had treaments at the same time and one had to wait alone. Treatments were excellent!The tiny changing room area does not have any lockers for bags and there was no hairdryer.The spa staff were lovely and did not try to sell us beauty products as they do at other spas!

Why not enjoy an aperitif in the bar before dining in the Steam, Bake and Grill restaurant, which opened summer 2008. Enjoy a relaxing bar snack in the Claret Jug restaurant where robes are more than welcome! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are enjoyed in the stunning Maple Restaurant with views over the hotels private lake and rolling lawns.

Gerard’s have been carefully selected as the skincare and body range, using natural ingredients and pure essential oils, each made from concentrated flower and plant extracts which can be tailored to individual skin types. The treatment rooms are purpose built oozing luxury and blissful tranquillity. *Facials within the Mini Pamperday and Deluxe Pamperday will be a Mini Facial and not a Prescription Facial*

The neighbouring Wokefield Executive Centre is designed specifically for training courses, conferences and team-building events. This spacious and contemporary building has a swimming pool and fitness centre which all guests are welcome to use. If you enjoy a round of golf don't miss out on their US PGA-standard championship golf course.

Legoland is fun for all the family, place your bets at Ascot Racecourse, Wellington Country Park has 350 acres of gorgeous parkland, the ornamental Savill Gardens, the town of Windsor is oozing historic attractions. Reading is well worth a visit and also Reading Abbey, which dates back to 1121.

The service of the staff and the treatments were excellent along with the cleanliness, the only thing that let this Spa Day down from getting 5* was the fact the swimming pool was in a seperate building which was a 5 min walk from the other Spa facilities and to get to the swimming pool you had to walk through a Sports bar which on the day of our visit was holding a golf tourement. There was also nowhere you could sit and relax to read a book or a magazine for a few hours. I wouldnt return unfortunatelyGuest Rating -

The spa and spa treatments at this venue, were absolutely excellent, the staff at the Spa centre were very professional and efficient. It's a shame I cannot say the same for the venue being Wokefield Park, I was really disappointed with the Hotel, it would seem that Hotel's primary aim is to cater for Corporate Events, Weddings and Golfers.
