Introduction

Stratford-upon-Avon�s first major spa development just opened its doors. The deluxe 35,000 square foot Wildmoor Spa & Health Club is nestled amidst the lush green countryside, yet can be reached in just 5 minutes from central Stratford, with its many historic sights and boutique shopping facilities. Wildmoor Spa & Health Club offers a wealth of treatments and facilities to ensure guests receive five-star service whether they opt for a luxurious full-day experience or simply a quick facial. �The word �no� is not in our vocabulary at Wildmoor,� says spa manager Emmanuelle Bourbon. �Our aim is to cater to any request our guests have. Thorough consultations will help establish any areas of concern, allowing our expert therapists to personalise every treatment to meet the client�s needs and desires.� In addition to its twelve oversized treatment rooms, swimming pool and gym, Wildmoor offers a herbal sauna, Egyptian rasul, haman, experience showers, a flotation room, hydrotherapy pool, sunbeds and spray tanning and a sumptuous relaxation suite.

The Spa & Treatments

Wildmoor’s extensive array of massages, facials and body therapies will all be performed using one of the spa’s three luxury skincare brands, Decléor, La Prairie and Comfort Zone. The entirely natural ingredients will nourish skin and leave body and mind relaxed and revitalized. Wildmoor Spa & Health Club will also offer some more medically-based treatments, such as microdermabrasion, Botox, teeth whitening and even hair implants, ensuring guests can leave looking as fabulous as they feel.

Fitness

Fitness fanatics are not forgotten either as the fully equipped gym is complemented by a large fitness studio which opens out to a roof garden allowing guests to cool off after an invigorating aerobics class or get back to nature with some tai chi under the setting sun.

Average This was my third visit to the Wildmoor Spa since 2007. It was lovely to chill out for a day but disappointing compared to previous visits. The facilities have lost a lot of their sparkle since my first visit in 2007. During previous visits the changing facilities and toilets were cleaned regularly but I didn\'t see one cleaner on this occasion. The treatments and the treatment staff were as lovely as ever but the administration and reception staff were not very welcoming and just kept moaning between themselves, which spoilt the lovely atmosphere. Excellent We had a lovely day. It was very relaxing and the facilities were excellent. My only complaint would be that when we asked on the day if there were any extra treatments available we were told that they were all booked. However, when we actually had our treatments, there were very few rooms being used and we had the manicure and pedicure completely on our own. We did not see the mud room being used at all (this is what extra treatment we were considering). I can only assume that there were not enough staff for any extra bookings but it does say in the literature that extra treatments can be booked on the day. Good The only problem I had was the booking of my treatments. These were changed three times before my visit and still changed on the day. So there were a lot of phone calls. However, once there I had a really great day. The facilities are excellent with plenty of comfy loungers to relax on. I would go again with no hesitation. Exercise, relax, and pamper The spa experience was given to me by my daughters. At first I thought what a waste of money. When I got there the staff were so welcoming, I was shown around the spa and given a time table of all my treatments. Such a great day, I would do it again. Mother and Daughter The rooms were easy to find and close together, which was an advantage over wondering round and trying to find them. Professional, friendly, serene If you visit the spa for the first time a 1/2 hour is needed for the induction. They should make this clear at the time of booking. We wanted to go to some of the exercise classes and it would have been helpful if some information was available. The facilities were very clean and beautiful. A pleasant surprise! I was very pleasantly surprised on arrival at Wildmoor. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel comfortable right away. The pool, sauna and steam room were clean and welcoming. It was not crowded at all, which was a surprise being a Saturday on a Bank Holiday weekend. The only negatives were firstly, being told on the phone beforehand that you had to take your own shampoo and conditioner as this wasn�t supplied (however this was a minor detail afterwards), and the other was that our last treatment wasn�t until 5.15pm and it was a file and polish, which, obviously was difficult not to smudge on the way home! I had my toes done, I must say I was disappointed that it literally was a file and paint and my feet were not soaked beforehand etc. However on the whole it was a lovely relaxing day and I would consider going again but I would book direct with the Spa itself next time.
