absolute peace and pamper This was the most relaxing day of my life its simple to put in words and you don\'t need many of them, from the moment we arrived we were treated to the up-most courtesy doors opened for you, shown around the complex ,everything and everywhere explained. The cleanliness was outstanding as was the friendliness of all the staff never have I relaxed so much the pool was warm and never overcrowded the steam room and Jacuzzi were easy accessible the food was fresh and no complaints about changing what was a set meal to suit my fussy mum will go back again this was a experience to remember and would recommend to anyone. |

Relaxing must try experience Priory retreat was the most relaxing experience. The spa is within a hotel which we had full free roam over to use all of the facilities available , steam rooms, swimming pools , sauna rooms, gym, amazing food pretty scenery including the golf course in and around the grounds and plenty plenty more Therapy Staff were all very pleasant, polite and very professional they made me and my mum feel very comfortable and at ease. I had a facial and a massage and i felt amazingly refreshed, the young girl I had was highly qualified and I can\'t put into words the quality and high standard of customer service she provided its a shame I cant remember her name for a recommendation! My mum had the pedicure and massage and loved every second of the whole days experience as it was for her birthday Thanks to all staff THE PRIORY RETREAT SPA IS A DEFINATE MUST !! |

Relaxing Day My daughter and I had a Spa day at the Priory. The treatment area was very nice, the treatments very good and the staff very professional and pleasant. However, the spa area and pool were separate from the treatment rooms so it did mean that we had to keep dressing and undressing to go from one area to the other. Lunch was good and served in the bar but this area was used by the golfers so very noisy. We really enjoyed the day but would have preferred to have been in a quieter and more relaxing atmosphere between treatments. |

Not so relaxing as other spas I found the treatments to be first rate. The therapists were professional, helpful and knowledgeable whilst still being friendly. What I did not like was the fact that you couldn\'t sit and relax in your dressing gown. After a swim, in a pool shared with local children having a swimming lesson, I had to get completely re-dressed to walk through the public bar to get to the treatment rooms, which were in a different part of the hotel. Lunch was taken in the bar, which was full of golfers whose language was very colourful. Not ideal. |

Priory Pamper Day I must say on receiving the gift of a Men\'s Spa Pamper day from my sister for my 50th birthday I was somewhat hesitant and thinking the whole idea was not my cup of tea at all. However I was very happily surprised at how much I enjoyed the experience. The Marriott Priory Hotel is set in the most beautiful parkland to the north of Derby. On arrival I was given a tour of the facilities by very helpful staff for which nothing appeared to be too much trouble during the whole of my stay. After a rigorous work-out in the very well equipped gym I relaxed in the steam room, sauna and pool. A light lunch was then followed by my spa treatments. A back and neck massage followed by a full facial was one of the most relaxing afternoons I\'ve had in a very long time. The experience was most definitely a wonderful birthday present from my sister, so much so I\'m planning my next trip. |

lovers pamper day My husband and I had a very enjoyable day. It’s not like going to Ragdale Hall but ... you are not paying Ragdale prices. We were not sure what to wear or if to take towelling robes to go round in... So pleased we didn\'t. We decided just to wear sports gear ...jogging bottoms trainers etc. You could just go in normal clothes and take sports gear with you, As really you are just in a hotel using the their Gym and Pool. On other reviews people moaned about the light lunch... but we had a sandwich side salad crisps a cup of tea and dessert...and it was more than enough. The treatments were very enjoyable. Overview would be.... very enjoyable day...this is not a health farm so do not go expecting really relaxing surroundings, it is a Hotel with usual Hotel day to day noise. |

bliss to wind down Beautiful setting although would appreciate better signposting for the Spa centre. Plenty of choices for relaxing and chilling out. Blissful aromatherapy massage, but warmer room would have been nice. Lovely pool area. What about having two Jacuzzis?! - Obviously popular! Recommend the smoked salmon wrap for a snack. Value for money on 2 for 1 pamper day. Would come again. |

Lovely We arrived at 10.30 am but really should have got there earlier to make the most of the pool. We had lovely treatments and left feeling pampered and relaxed.Loved the body massage, lunch was in the golf club area, so it was busy and quite noisy.Overall though everyone was really helpful and we had a great day. |
