Cheap and cheerful After our 2 sleepless nights, the food was plentiful, but cheap and cheerful (unless you eat in Murrays, their posh restaurant, which is amazing). The terrace cafe was horrible. The lunch buffet in Astons (standard restaurant) included fish\'n\'chips, pickled beetroot, pasta\'n\'last night\'s veg, baked spuds, very basic salad. No special effort was made to offer healthy food, but it was eat as much as you like. The dinner was quite a lot nicer, with candles and ambience, but there was rather a lot of what I call \'catfooded meat\', i.e. shredded and pressed together into a round mould. The crème Brule was the highlight of my stay. The guest lounge was comfortable, with an open fire, where I slept on a sofa for 3 hours to offset the sleepless night. The staff were universally friendly and helpful, it wasn\'t their fault the hotel manager seems more concerned with profit than luxury. |

Excellent, friendly, helpful, relaxing. First visit to this spa but from the moment we arrived the staff we friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean, fresh and relaxing. Breakfast choice was excellent, chose smoked salmon bagels which unfortunately were only half eaten due to bones in mine but my guest had no problems and when pointed out at checkout they refunded both which was above and beyond what I had expected. Foot bath no working which was a shame but I had the best facial I have ever had from Elemis lady, beautiful pressure application and eye massage. Will recommend and will be returning. |

Peaceful, relaxing day From the moment we stepped through the door the staff were helpful and the spa itself had a calm peaceful feel.Slight problem with breakfast when I ordered a smoked salmon bagel and ended up with a mouth full of bones. Restaurant staff not overly helpful but reception staff sorted this out upon departure with its removal from the bill.I had the best facial I\'ve had in a Spa in years and the one small criticism would be that the treatment beds and quite uncomfortable when lying on your front. No proper facial hole which leaves you with a squashed nose and eventually it does detract from the pleasure of the treatment.Overall I will be going back and would recommend to others. |

My only one disappointment was the lunch- my allocated 45 minute time slot, which was reduced to 30 minutes by the time I had queued for the food, was not long enough to be relaxing and enjoyable. I also felt there was not enough variety of foods. |

Very relaxing! Excellent facilities, very relaxing. Felt a bit overcrowded and a bit noisy at times.Food was lovely but felt a bit rushed at lunchtime as once we had queued for food a lot of our eating time had passed.Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing day. Good once you arrive Although pleasant, staff were unhelpful when I tried to book: they appeared hamstrung by a very unflexible booking procedure e.g. you weren't allowed to vary the package; they wouldn't give you times for your treatments.In fairness they were good on arrival and sorted out convenient times for our party after a bit of a discussion. The treatments were also of a good quality.The heat and ice facilities are enjoyable but it should be noted that neither pool is deep enough for proper swimming. Food was included in my package but a friend had to pay - it was over-priced for what you got.Overall I would go back for a specific treatment but wouldn't go for the day. They are too inflexible in what they allow. |

Excellent experience! I took my sister to this spa last week for a birthday treat. We went on the 2 for 1 Heat and Ice package which was amazing value at £89 for the two of us, including a two course lunch! (Any treatments extra).We loved the spa baths with all the different saunas, steam rooms, and the Ice Cave, which was fabulous and very invigorating! After a giggly morning using all the pool facilities, we had a truly lovely buffet lunch, all the food was freshly prepared and beautifully presented.Later in the afternoon my sister had a deep body massage and I had a Hopi ear candle treatment, which was really good. My sister said her massage was one of the best she has ever had.All the staff were helpful and courteous, from reception to waiters and beauticians. We are already planning a return trip in December!(ps forgot to mention divine afternoon cream tea - naughty but very nice!) |

Very Good Arrived before 10am, very straight forward checking in procedures and a tour of the spa to begin with. There was 6 of us in our group.Spa Facilities - Very good, heat and ice rooms - the best by far. Very relaxed, warm and calming environment.Treatments - Very good, however a couple of little grumbles! - times cut short. Pedicure should be at the end of the day as its ruined straight away! and treatments either at the end of the day or at the beginning rather then scattered the way they where. The facial was fantastic. Therapists all very professional,friendly and chatty.Food - Excellent - although wish there was some cake!!Friendliness of Staff - Check in staff - very good, Food and drinks girls - a little rude and need to smile .Would definitely recommend to friends and will be coming back to stay over. |

Lovely day out Arrival - very organised and relaxed with a tour guide to familiarise you.Food - Buffet style lunch, good quality and very tasty food - could do with some cakes though!! The lady serving drinks did NOT have good customer service and was at times very blunt/rude.Treatments - lot's of treatments for you money - very pleased with this, we had pedicures/facial and back massage. Treatments times cut short (30 min treatments where actually only 15-20minutes long!!) and not arranged at the best times ie - had pedicure at 1pm then told not to go near water for 2-3 hours???? Environment - Very clean, warm.Facilities - lots of towels/dressing gowns and slippers available. Ice caves/saunas/jacuzzi/steam rooms etc of all good quality.We were a group of 6 ladies celebrating a birthday. we had a lovely day and although we had a few niggles we have said we would all love to go back and stay over. |

Spa and stay break Fantastic experience for anyone who has never been to a spa before (male or female) or for those who like to enjoy that little bit of luxury on a regular basis.
