Located within the beautiful North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate it forms part of The Academy health and fitness club; one of the UK�s most successful health clubs. It merges the philosophies of East and West to offer an holistic approach to health and beauty that induces a sense of total wellbeing on many levels - physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual - and has integrated a variety of alternative therapies, such as Indonesian Massage, Colonic Hydrotherapy, Acupuncture, Physiotherapy and Homeopathy, alongside its luxurious face and body treatments.

Fitness

If you are looking to loose weight, tone up, or build muscle, our knowledgeable and supportive health and fitness team will encourage you to reach your goals. We offer group or personal training sessions to enhance your progress. Using our state-of-the-art gymnasium and over 65 studio classes - including Body Pump, Yoga and Zumba - there really is so much variety for everyone! Our swimming pool is also available for leisure or those serious swimmers amongst you. We also offer a range of aqua classes.

Nice day The overall day was a lovely experience. The only down side was the pool and Jacuzzi. Children were using the facilities as we were trying to relax. We also had to walk down stairs to have lunch whilst in our dressing gowns, not as relaxing as it could have been as the bar area was for everyone and it was quite uncomfortable to sit in our dressing gowns whilst everyone else was dressed. Fabulous Birthday Treat! What a wonderful way to spend a weekend with friends to celebrate my husband\'s 40th birthday! The men amongst our foursome had never been for a spa day before, and after their fabulous experience we fear we may never get a \'girls\'-only\' weekend again! It was VIP treatment all the way from start to finish, with a tour of the spa and gym facilities to familiarise us with our setting, then on the hand-over of the robes and slippers, off we went to enjoy the excellently equipped gym. The pool was serene and relaxing, our only criticism was that it needs a little updating, and the Jacuzzi was out of action because of some technical difficulty. The spa treatments were a joy, and the relaxation area was like an oasis of peace and calm. The therapists were experienced delightful ladies and we felt as though we had received great value for money. I would highly recommend The Academy Spa. Wonderful girly treat! It was awesome. My friend and I always have a day spa in the run up to Christmas and tend to try new ones each time, and this was no disappointment. The treatments were great, the ladies were very professional and the place was amazing. The only down side was the temperature of the pool as it felt a bit chilly - but the new air source heat pump was being installed and tweaked so I reckon that we could cope with being a bit on the luke warm side to save the planet! Absolutley fantastic I had a wonderful day, from when I arrived to leaving. The staff were wonderful and couldn\'t do enough for me. It was a quiet day even the pool was good with only a couple of people in. I did get dressed for lunch but because I sat outside. The treatments were fantastic. I left feeling totally chilled and relaxed. I would recommend to friends and family, I myself will revisit. Pretty good The spa was very good, especially the relaxation room. The meal was quite good but you had to sit in a gown among families and people using the gym and pool and the pool and changing rooms were open to the general public so not suitable for a relaxing swim. The staff at the spa were lovely, very pleasant and helpful. The treatments were generally good but varied depending on the girl you got. Relaxing pamper day The Acadeny Spa was a wonderful, relaxing experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were good. Only bad point was having to share the pool with noisy children due to it also been open to the public. I would recommend the experience to anyone looking for a relaxing pamper day just check the pool timetable first!
