The St Davids Hotel and Spa in Cardiff is pretty fantastic to look at, and the setting is perfect for either a relaxing day of spa-ness or an overnight treat.

Introduction
The St Davids Hotel & Spa is a modern building which is set in the picturesque setting of the Cardiff Bay waterfront. It has gorgeous panoramic views across Cardiff Bay and looking out to Penarth. Looking at the hotel from the docks, it was designed to look like a ship coming into dock. The Marine Spa has breath taking views of the Cardiff Bay from almost any area of the spa. There is a selections of treatments whether your looking for relaxation or boost of body and mind. What ever your personal goal is our Fitness Team are available to offer advise and coaching. Our Cardiovascular gymnasium offers the latest techno gym equipment including the Cardio Wave machine which burns more calories than any other. In our Spa Studio we offer a range of exercise classes.Cuisine
Within the Marine Spa there is the Waves restaurant, where guests can have a healthy light lunch. Hot drinks are also available there for the duration of their stay. There is also a juice bar outside the gymnasium where guests can keep hydrated with fruit juices and herbal teas. The Spa has also won titles including: Thalgo Star Account of Service Excellence 2009/10, Thalgo Gold Account of Service 2010/2011. As well as being nominee for Thalgo Spa of the year 2011, nominee for Travellers Awards 2011 and were also the chosen Flagship Spa for the launch of the ESPA rebrand. Nominated for Holistic Spa of the year 2011, we were placed 2nd in the welsh spiritual awards 2011.
Q. Describe the interiors of your bedrooms or treatment rooms and how they were inspired?
A. The interiors are tranquil and neutral so guests feel relaxed. Rooms are also flooded with natural light.
Q. Explain what 'mod-cons' you provide in the hotel and spa?
A. All bedrooms come with flat screen televisions. Selected bedrooms of the hotel come with Ipod Docking stations. Wifi is also available and there is a conference centre.

A. Yes will try and accommodate all our guests if informed of requirements prior to arrival

relaxing The experience was marred initially by the difficulty in parking. I had to park outside the hotel on yellow lines go into reception and find out about parking arrangements. Otherwise the experience was relaxing. I was not bowled over by the lunch although the staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn\'t say overall that it was a 5 star experience! |

Could do better! Changing room very nice, clean and tidy; shower gel and shampoo all provided. We went straight into the pool which was nice, but a bit small compared to a normal leisure centre pool. They also had 2 warm hydrotherapy pools but I felt they were too hot for me (pregnant). The steps in and out of the various pools were a bit steep and a struggle for anyone pregnant/elderly/arthritic. Unfortunately, our day was a bit spoiled by not having a tour on arrival. The receptionist bombarded us with information, far too much to take in, and we therefore missed out on some things (e.g. never found the relaxation room). Reception also told us the wrong start time for our treatments, which meant they were a bit rushed and cut short. Otherwise a nice place, lovely views of the bay, good treatments, nice lunch, juice bar area and lovely outdoor sun terrace. Just make sure you get an introductory tour! |

Can\'t wait to go back for more I purchased this \'Pamperday\' experience to treat my mum and myself for mother\'s day. We had a fantastic day, using the pool and spa facilities all day, having what was described as a \'light lunch\' (not so light, but very nice) and three treatments. All the facilities were very well kept and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and all staff were very helpful and friendly. We both had a back, neck and shoulder massage, a facial and a manicure included in the cost. The massage and facial were fantastic. A lovely day out and we will certainly be treating ourselves there again. |

Some good, some not so good.... I had high hopes for the day as we had all been to this spa previously for my hen do and had a fantastic time but sadly things didn\'t go so great on this occasion. On arrival to the reception at the Spa the three of us attempted to book in as requested. I had taken all of my documentation from SpaSeekers with me thankfully as they did not have the birthday girl on ANY of their reservations! I showed them all of my paperwork and after much fretting by us, and stressed looks by the management, they managed to fit us all in, although our appointments meant we saw very little of each other. We started our sessions with an all over body brushing but rather than go straight into a massage afterwards, you were asked to get up and leave the room and head in to another identical room for your massage! With all the spa\'s I have visited, this was a first!! The massage was excellent and the best part of the day! We also had our finger and toe nails done at the end of the day, and to be honest felt very much like an after thought. Between us we all had a dip in the pool but it would have been nice to have seen the girls with me, after all it was a special occasion! |

A fantastic day! My friend and I visit a spa every three months or so, we have visited all the spas in our area and a few further away. Some we have liked and some we would never re visit. Only a few have warranted a second visit; we are not novices when it comes to spa days. We arrived at the St David’s spa where I have been before but neither of us had visited since their refurbishment. We were greeted warmly and shown the facilities. We had a coffee and a chat in the Spa restaurant called Waves. There were lovely views across Cardiff bay. We then went for a swim and spent time in the marine salt channel and showers...hot showers with a pummelling action that stimulates the blood flow and feel divine. We rested at the pool side with a magazine and then ventured forth to the juice bar and the relaxation room. We experienced the Massage chairs which were like nothing I have known before...they were wonderful and the therapist said they are so good she fears people will not book massages. We then had a beautiful quality lunch which included three courses with hot and cold dishes available. Through out the day juice herbal teas coffee water etc and fresh fruit were freely available. After lunch we started our treatments .The rooms were beautiful and my massage was on a heated table. The facial was also carried out on the warm bed and it was so relaxing I fell asleep. We finished the treatments with a choice of manicure or pedicure. We then relaxed with a final drink and a banana before reluctantly leaving at 5 pm. It was a truly wonderful day and one we hope to repeat before too long. Thank you to spaseekers.com for organising it for us. It was excellent value for money. |

Excellent value, great treatments I had 3 treatments, full use of the facilities and lunch for £104 the SpaSeekers Pamperdays are excellent value for money and I recommend the site to anyone. Lunch was 3 courses of lovely healthy food overlooking the bay. The facilities were lovely, nice pool, whirl pool, jet spa beds and sauna, again all overlooking the bay which was lovely. The relax room came equipped with great massage chairs which was enough of a treatment alone. The treatments were great, relaxing and staff friendly. Free juice, fruit and hot drinks all day. Excellent experience, I will be booking again and have recommended it to my friends and family |

Glorious pampering! What a wonderful day! I arrived at the St David\'s Spa to be greeted with my fluffy bathrobe and slippers and guidance to the spa\'s extensive facilities along with the times of my treatments and where to go for lunch. The morning was spent floating in the Jacuzzi, enjoying a relaxing swim in the warm pool, popping into the sauna and warming from the sun streaming through the windows. Lunch was divine, three courses with drinks and fruit available to help you with the option of sitting indoors or out on the terrace. Following lunch I made my way to the treatment rooms, a full body exfoliation, massage and facial - the effort was to not drift off into a deep sleep! Finally a manicure to complete the rejuvenated feeling! This was an absolutely heavenly day. My only grumble was that as part of the day I should have received a pedicure also which was missed by the staff but did not realise this until after departing. A superb gift! |
