Introduction

As far as spa day venues go, Rushton Hall Hotel and Spa is pretty impressive. It’s huge, elegant and almost majestic, a hotel spa with a history that’s rumoured to have included a little Gunpowder Plotting. Charles Dickens is also said to have been a frequent visitor to the hotel, although he won’t have been in the spa! There are 25 acres of Northamptonshire countryside to investigate while you’re there, and the accommodation is perfect for a spa break, with individually styled rooms to kick back in when you’re not relaxing in the sumptuous Stableyard Spa being pampered.

The Spa & Treatments

Everything from the relaxing treatments to the beautiful, airy pool with a view is designed to make your spa day a perfect relaxing break. The spa treatment list features high-end beauty ranges like Elemis and REN, guaranteed to leave you feeling pampered beyond belief, and if you fancy a manicure or pedicure they only use the very best Leighton Denny professional nail products. Indian Head Massage and Reflexology also feature in the spa if you want to go holistic. You can relax by the pools, indoors and outside, or slip into the sauna or steam room for even more relaxation.

Fitness

The gym here at Rushton Hall Hotel is perfect for a good workout, and is fully kitted out with the very best Cybex equipment, free weights and a Power Plate so you'll be sure to get a decent session. If working out on machines isn't your cup of tea, you can work up a sweat in one of the many classes on offer. Not into sweating? Try a swim in the 14m swimming pool where you can take a slow swim or really put the effort in if you feel like it.

Cuisine

There's a choice of an a la carte menu that you'll be able to try out on an overnight stay - and a light bites Lounge menu to choose from when you're visiting on a pamper day, or if you just prefer something a little bit lighter. The dishes are all freshly prepared and feature the very best seasonal ingredients, and the a la carte menu features delicious dishes that you'll find excruciatingly hard to resist! Don't forget the spa coffee shop for snacks, either.

Not as good as expected

The staff were all lovely and the setting lovely. It was not however worth as many stars as others have given. The pedicure consisted of a 5 minute nail file and polish with no foot wash/massage/cuticle work (although the back massage and facial were lovely). The steam room wasn\'t anyway near hot enough. The shower by the sauna and steam room was out of order. The food takes a while to come up from the main house (which we were pre warned about) but unfortunately the soup was cold by the time it arrived. The dining room was really cold as well. There were no newspapers to read other than those dated 2 weeks prior to our visit. Wildmoor Spa for the same money is definitely the better deal!

Very Relaxing and enjoyable

Myself and my husband visited Rushton Hall, It was a very relaxing day and we both enjoyed our deluxe pamper day. The changing rooms are very roomy and it was a nice quiet weekend that I even had the jacuzzi all to myself. I didn\'t think much to the steam room and sauna as didn\'t seem as hot/powerful as should be. Lunch was very enjoyable and there was a good selection. The treatments were to a good standard, I had a facial which was so relaxing, an hour manicure and a half hour pedicure, the half hour treatments are literally a file and polish - not even a little massage of the feet which slightly let it down. Overall the venue is excellent, the staff are very friendly and if it is a quiet weekend it is very relaxing. Would definitely go back again for a facial/massage.

Wonderful setting

My day was a present from my mother, I had the deluxe spa day. This consisted of a facial, a massage a manicure and pedicure, also use of the pool, sauna and steam room and lunch. It was a very quiet day, I had spoken with the spa previous to my day and arranged all my treatments for after lunch, unfortunately this was altered as a member of staff was ill. Overall it was a very good experience but I’m not sure having my finger and toe nails filed and painted is the correct way to carry out a manicure and pedicure!!! The facial was a wonderful experience but spoilt by what sounded like some one playing football against a wall outside. The pool, sauna and steam room and lunch were very good.

Perfect Spa Experience

The grounds as you drive in are beautiful and from the moment I arrived I was made very welcome by the friendly and professional staff. The spa was very quiet as I decided to book in on a Monday, my mum, my very good friend and I was almost the only guests- pure bliss. The treatments were amazing and although scheduled, I was never aware of any time constraint, and not once did I feel rushed. Highly recommended.

Great gift from children

This was a Christmas present from my children and their partners. But I activated it in June. As I had not been to a gym for some years I gave that a miss. I really enjoyed my mini spa day. The back and shoulder massage was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep! But I had to keep awake to enjoy it! Then the facial massage was also very enjoyable. Lunch of Smoked salmon and chips was excellent. After sunning myself on a lounger in the gardens I then had a Sauna. This enhanced the feeling of being relaxed before a pedicure (just nails). When my middle toes were done it tickled so much my legs jerked, the other toes did not mind. While the nails dried I watched tennis on a big screen. All the staff was polite and attentive. The atmosphere was friendly and the venue wonderful, it is set in the grounds of a stately home that is now a hotel. I felt very relaxed after it. I will return.

Absolutely Lovely

I found Rushton Hall to be a fabulous spa venue. As soon as we arrived the staff were attentive and couldn\'t have been more helpful. The facilities were clean and modern and very relaxing, everything you wish for in a spa. I would thoroughly recommend Rushton Hall to anyone who wanted a relaxing spa day. The treatments I received were also perfect.

Excellent service, peaceful, beautiful

I booked the spa day for me an my fiancé as a birthday present surprise for him. I wasn't to sure how he would feel but the staff at Ruston Hall were fantastic. They made us both feel very welcome, they explained what the timings were for our treatments and we chose a time for lunch. This was all pre ordered by us both, they gave us a menu and 'proper' coffee and left us alone to chose and familiarise ourselves with the surroundings. Once this was all sorted the day was ours. Clean towels were available when ever you needed and you didn't have to ask for them also drinks offered throughout the day. Overall a lovely day that we didn't want to end, it felt like we was in a different world.

relaxing and pampering

This spa is set in fantastic surroundings. When entering the spa, there was a friendly welcome from the receptionist who had all of my details to hand.Everything was well organised and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the showers in the changing rooms are not very hot.The massage and facial I had were fabulous. This is my second time there and I will definately return.
