Introduction
As one of the ever expanding Shire hotels, North Lakes is a great place to stay and to explore the fells of the Lake District or shop in the historic market town of Penrith. Conveniently located just off the M6, the hotel is an ideal place to meet with friends, family and colleagues. The hotel also boasts a coffee bar to enjoy a light snack and a restaurant where you can experience a meal with locally sourced ingredients. Our Spa Treatments area consists of six wonderfully relaxing treatment rooms, two manicure/pedicure stations and a separated relaxation area where you will find comfortable sun loungers equipped with thick fleece blankets (perfect for cosying up in winter months), a water feature and an array of magazines and books. Each treatment couch has a Hydrotherm system on it which is like a heated waterbed to aid deeper relaxation, even during maintenance treatments such as waxing. Our treatments are performed to the highest standards using ESPA, Jessica, BareMinerals and St Tropez brands.Fitness
North Lakes offers you energising classes including spinning, body pump and Zumba and for the more relaxing spa day, body balance or Pilates. The spa also offers a fully equipped gymnasium, 13 metre pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and single sex saunas. Towels are provided and a £1 is required for the locker. Refreshments are available at a charge and can be consumed in the spa lounge where there is also a TV and complimentary papers.Cuisine
On arrival to the Spa you will choose your two course meal from our Spa menu and be treated to complimentary teas and coffee in our relaxation area throughout your stay. Your Spa Lunch will then be served in the Spa Lounge which overlooks the pool area. Alternatively, if you have a larger group, we can reserve a table in The Snug which is located in the Martindale Bar.|

Totally luxurious I took my daughter for a pamper day as a treat after her exams. We were greeted by friendly, courteous staff, shown to a luxurious changing room where we put on lovely clean, soft robes and slippers and then given a coffee in the relaxation area while we made our menu choices for lunch. We spent the morning using the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room before eating a delicious lunch, beautifully served. All the facilities we used were well supervised and spotlessly clean. I was really impressed. The treatments we had in the afternoon were so good I would like to go back next week to have it all again. A fabulously relaxing massage and a facial that left my skin glowing. I can\'t thank the staff enough, for their skill, their care or their attention to detail. I would go again, and hope to on many occasions. My daughter loved it! |

Just the tonic! I really enjoyed my spa day at the north lakes. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, greeting me upon arrival and making me feel very welcome. The staff had managed to structure my day around fitting both a session in the gym and a relaxing swim in the pool. The rooms which the treatments were held in were very relaxing and clean. The treatment bed was great as you felt that you were floating on warm water, the products which were used were heavenly and I was able to choose the fragrance I liked best. Overall a great, relaxing day and would look forward to returning again. Just the tonic!! |
