Nice Day at Faulty Towers There was a little of a Faulty Towers feel to our day and the spa is more of an added extra to hotel as opposed to a specialist spa facility. Nidd Hall is in a picturesque setting and although part of the spa area was under going some renovations, which meant the plunge pool was closed, the pool / sauna & steam room were all available and in a pleasant setting. For lunch we were shepherded in our robes to the tea room, which was full of the older clientele who were dressed for a day out, puzzled as to why we were sitting in our dressing gowns with wet hair in the restaurant. There was confusion in the kitchen over a new menu and we had to wait 30mins for our food, and they couldn’t remember which omelettes had which filling so we each ended up with the wrong one – although they were very tasty. The staff were friendly and treatments very pleasant, although I had not heard of the products they used before. However my companion climbed on to the bed for her treatment which collapsed beneath her and she fell head first on to the floor and trapped her foot in the bed leg. She was OK but a bit surprised. All in all, we had a nice day and had to laugh at all the little niggles – we thought Basil & Sybil might pop out at any moment. |

Relax at the Nidd We received some spaseekers vouchers as a wedding present and decided to visit Nidd Hall for the day. We were not disappointed, the hotel was in a beautiful setting and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had 3 treatments, all of which were given to an excellent standard and also received a very good complimentary lunch. The only recommendation we would make is for the pool area to have more comfortable seating. |

Relaxing Had a lovely relaxing day at Nidd Hall spa. This is a beautiful hotel venue. The pool is fabulous I couldn\'t be tempted into the Gym because I was on a relaxing spa day. The staff were very polite and attentive and let me order my lunch which was delivered poolside. Therapist lovely, very knowledgeable and did not try to sell me anything. The only disappointment was the changing rooms in particular the showers which seemed to be an afterthought there were two which weren\'t big enough to swing a cat in. The lockers were very old and battered and didn\'t even have numbers on any more. There were plenty of hairdryers though but no where to sit whilst you dried your hair. |

Great day out Second visit and it was really good again. Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers are not fantastic, but overall a very good way to relax. I would recommend a spa break voucher for anyone looking for a special Christmas present. |

A Fantastic Day out! We went on a group spa day as part of my hen weekend (12 of us) and I would highly recommend Nidd Hall. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the facilities were excellent, the food was lovely and the two treatments we had were fantastic with the staff doing the treatments also being friendly and accommodating for the needs of the guests I took with me which covered a variety of age ranges as I took friends and family. I would definitely want to go again! |

Mixed feelings For Christmas, my charming husband presented me with a certificate for a Luxury Pamper Day at nearby Nidd Hall. I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing day and enjoying the full body massage, facial, manicure, pedicure and lunch. I did have a nice relaxing day, which is just what I needed. The lunch was quite nice, and the staff was wonderfully pleasant and accommodating. I then had a nice lunch and a great swim, followed by my pedicure and manicure. I had a very lovely lady doing my hands and feet while I enjoyed a proper pot of loose leaf tea! Despite relaxing in the cold lobby of the spa with a newspaper for at least an hour afterwards, my toes (which had been done first) were ruined when I took off my shoes that night, and my nails started chipping the next day . It was a bitterly cold day, so wearing open-toed shoes was not an option! I had another place do my nails a fortnight later, and that varnish lasted a week before it started chipping...hmmm...Perhaps they realize that the facilities could use a bit of a facelift, in that the lobby of the hotel had a big sign advertising an upcoming megamillion pound refurbishment this year. As I said, the staff couldn't have been nicer and the treatments were quite good, but the place was utterly let down by its facilities and most definitely the quality of the varnish used. I might be willing to give it another try, once the refurbishment has been completed. |

Can not wait to go again From the moment we got there the whole spa day was a delight. The service and attention we received was excellent. We even got to top up our tans by sunbathing outside. I would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting a day of relaxation and pampering. |
