lovely treatments Our hotel room was lovely and we had a sea view which was a bonus. The package included 3 course dinner and breakfast which was exquisite! Cannot recommend this hotel more highly for a wonderful eating experience - they clearly have a wonderful chef and could not believe that everything was included in our spa break price! Even breakfast included a choice of having something additional freshly cooked by the chef- eggs benedict yum! As I live locally I will certainly be returning for dinner. The treatment area is also very nice and relaxing and the staff were really friendly and professional. The only disappointment was the spa area itself as I was hoping for something more comfortable and relaxing. The pool was too cold and the Jacuzzi too hot and not at all relaxing. As this spa is open to general public for gym membership it lacked any luxury or sense of \'calm\'. Modern luxury The Mercure has a great spa with lots of modern facilities. They even do maternity massages which is great as I am 6 months pregnant and had a lot of backache! Very nice staff and modern clean spa facilities including a resistance pool and Jacuzzi. Thoroughly recommended! excellent, friendly,clean, heaven Very impressed with treatments and staff. Booked as a treat for myself and my mum was just what we needed, enjoyed it that much I am going to book for my hen day in August. fantastic day!! A thouroughly enjoyable day!! Six of us decided to \"pamper\" ourselves for the day and we will definately be going back again...The Hythe Imperial was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. All our needs were met and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. a great day I bought three spa day treatments @ �105 each for my daugghter and daughter-in-law and myself, as a treat for us all being together, we had a fantastic day, everything was just perfect in every way, we were greeted and treated like royalty, it was the best day ever and YES we would go again. Friendly staff The staff were very friendly and welcoming on our arrival. There was no-one to show us how to use the equipment in the gym but the biggest complaint was that, having thought we were free to use the facilities at our leisure, we were unable to use the swimming pool because there was a water aerobics class for one hour which was fully booked. We were not advised of this on our arrival. Lunch was quite pleasant although a limited menu. All the treatments were in the afternoon which felt a little bit rushed. The whole place needed refurbishment but there are plans for this in the future. Still enjoyed the experience despite the above! A Lovely Day We arrived at the venue to a laid out table for refreshments and a menu to choose lunch. The staff were very friendly. We were given robes and towels and shown around the facilities by a lovely lady. We used the pool, Jacuzzi etc in the morning and was then shown to our table for lunch. The day included a back massage, facial and a manicure or pedicure as shown on the website but I wasn't given a choice it was just a very basic file and polish which was disappointing. The staff were great and would do anything for you but the decor was in need of some attention in some places. I can only compare it to other hotels I have been too, which were spotless and the treatment rooms very relaxing and quiet. At the Imperial you can hear every sound.
