Relaxation To Perfection We booked this as part of my Mother\'s birthday present, having never been for a spa day before. The staff were very helpful from the moment we set foot in the hotel to the moment that we left, from making sure our meal was served on time to ensuring that we were comfortable all day long.The spa was extremely clean and it seemed that nothing was out of its proper place - which was very impressive. The pool area and treatment rooms were beautifully lit with candles and huge glass windows which made the day even more relaxing.We were extremely satisfied with the overall experience and the two treatments that we had (facial & back relief) were very professional and relaxing.I could not fault Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel in any way and would definitely go back again! |

Stressbuster Spa Day The hotel staff was very helpful and professional. The Spa staff was also very friendly. I must point out that Spa Day title is misleading. My friend and I ordered and paid for our own morning cup of tea and our lunch in the bar. The actual Spa Day did not begin until our first treatment which Spa Seekers had arranged for 1.30pm. The treatment finished after 3pm and although I understand we could have used the Spa facilities (the swimming pool) the Spa Day came to rather an abrupt ending. When we attempted to pay using our vouchers, the staff rather apologetically said they had been advised that morning by Spa Seekers not to accept vouchers as payment, with immediate effect. I was able to provide my written confirmation of the booking which provided the proof of booking etc. |
