Fantastic Service Great Relaxation The whole experience for myself and future daughter-in-law was really memorable. From the moment we arrived through out the day, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. When we arrived we were shown into the relaxation room and offered a lovely selection of teas to choose from. We completed our forms and then we shown around all of the facilities. We chose to spend the morning between the swimming pool, steam room and sauna - we then went through to the main hotel bar area for a very well presented light lunch, and spoilt ourselves with a glass of champagne. In the afternoon we both had full body massage, prescriptions facials and finished with a manicure and pedicure. If you are looking for excellent service, with a modern spa coupled with beautiful historical surroundings you couldn\'t wish for better! |

Great day, but.. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The aqua aerobics class we started with was great fun. Massage was fabulous as was the facial. Manicure was good but rushed because it was too close to the time allocated for lunch. A great lunch and generally a day where we felt really pampered. Only downside was that the treatments followed on one after the other and so close to lunch that the manicure became rushed, especially as the polish I chose ran out and we had to start again. If treatments could be booked spaced out through the day this would be a perfect 5 star event. |

A total treat! Had a great day at Alveston, with a whole day of treatments and time for a swim and sauna session; the staff were lovely, very friendly and happy to do anything for you. Facial and massage were particularly good. The only negative point would be that I was the only person there all day with lunch included. The restaurant was being set up for an evening event so I had to eat in the bar. Not a total disaster, just a lack of communication. I would recommend this place. |

Relaxing, but slightly confused day The hotel is stunning, a great setting! On reaching the spa we were not really sure of where to go or what to fill in or our timetable. The leisure centre staff were not sure either, although they were friendly, and once everything was sorted, we had a couple of hours to use the pool, gym, sauna etc. The pool was busy but that was to be expected due to the Easter break. Lunch was good, although we were not offered the chance to purchase additional drinks until we asked. As for the spa, the relaxation room is fabulous, but could do with a wider choice of magazines!! The back massages and scalp massage my partner enjoyed were great. However, the facial left my skin feeling very greasy and not that refreshed. (The male facial my boyfriend thought was good). The manicure was good but I would have expected more for the price! Overall, a relaxing day but not complete value for money! |

DeLuxe Pamperday The location and spa were excellent, however, the treatments detailed in the booking process were not entirely carried through; for instance there was no consultation regarding any preference for oils to be used for the massage, the therapist was wearing nail varnish which could be a contraindication, she did not visibly wash her hands in my presence, the advertised manicure and pedicure was only an application of polish. |

Alveston Manor Hotel Spa We had a great time. All the staff were very helpful. The pool had a huge window along one side which overlooked the car park. I\'d have liked it to be tinted so that passers by dressed in coats and scarves could not stare at us all dressed in swimming costumes. |

Pleasant relaxing day egan by going into the relaxing room and there were tea lights along the floor on a dark carpet, which immediately gave you a feeling of relaxation even before you got there. The facilities were good and the staff very friendly. I enjoyed the massage and the facial, there were plenty of hot and cold drinks available, and the lunch in the restaurant was beautiful. I would definitely go again but perhaps try somewhere else to see the difference because that was the first one I had been to. |

A lovely day out My mum and I went to Alveston Manor for a ‘Mother and Daughter Pamperday’, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the treatments very nice. Our lunch was excellent and we had plenty of time to time to chill out. Our highlight of the day was the aquarobics class where we were made to feel very welcome and really felt the benefit of the session. My only disappointment was that although the pool was great (warm and all on one level) there was only a sauna available, and I was looking forward to a real spa feeling with a number of different rooms to try out. Other than that however, we had a lovely time. |

Chill out without getting cold My daughter and I have an annual treat to a spa for a day of pampering, this was our third year and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and the treatments were excellent. We enjoyed a morning swimming and went in the sauna, then (the only downside) we unfortunately had to dress for lunch as it was in the formal dining room, then back to the treatments rooms for our pampering. Thoroughly recommend this day out for a special winter treat. |
