We have a variety of twin and single bedrooms – naturally these are all en-suite and tastefully furnished to a high standard. All rooms have direct dial telephone, radio-alarm and colour television as well as all the other little extras that you would expect; a beverage tray with tea, coffee, fruit & herbal teas and complimentary mineral water and a selection of fruit on arrival. For your complete pampering we also provide large bath towels and a range of beautiful toiletries as well as big, fluffy bathrobes for your use during your stay

Our aim is not to starve our clients into losing weight as experience shows that this simply does not work. Instead we try to educate our ladies into a healthier approach to one of life’s major pleasures by offering a simple, uncomplicated introduction to healthy eating. We do not calorie-count but instead serve well-balanced, tasty cuisine based on fresh ingredients combining delicious low fat, high fibre foods whilst avoiding fads and short-lived fashions. It is this approach that helped to bring great results to many guests as they find our way easy to continue once they return home. Naturally we are flexible enough to comfortably cater for any individual dietary requirement and are happy to do so. If you are not interested in slimming you can, of course, indulge yourself a little more!

Although we have a highly inclusive programme of treatments and activities we are known for our flexibility when it comes to individual needs. How you spend your time here at The Lorrens is entirely up to you. Fitness and exercise are totally optional and if you would rather not take part we are surrounded by lovely beaches and coastal walks, fine shopping, theatres and the many fascinating attractions of The English Riviera. However, those taking part will be in safe, experienced, qualified hands and will only be encouraged to work within their capabilities. We also offer the “Personal Fitness Profile” – a health-related assessment that lets you know just where you stand and how to move on to achieve health and fitness for life. It is this standard of personal care and teaching in the well-equipped gym and classes that sets us apart. Even the most ardent non-exerciser can really see a great improvement if they choose to give our programme a go

The Lorrens is unique in being the only established health spa on the coast – and what a fantastic coastline South Devon offers; outdoor time can be spent sitting and relaxing on a beach or strolling the spectacular cliff paths in the sea air. Alternatively, spend your “time out” curled up in a quiet corner with a good book from our library and find a spot of peaceful heaven.
