Great value relaxation Broadly speaking I concur with the Hellerman and McAshee comments of October 2011. It\'s good to see someone has taken one of their few criticisms to heart and reduced the number of scones to two per person, which was ample. The aforementioned scones were freshly baked and delicious. The timing of their appearance might have been better co-ordinated with that of the tea - but at least we were not left gasping for a drink. A few cushions on the very deep settees and chairs would make the seating more comfortable but the river view, as London lit up for the night, was special. The spa, its staff and the treatments certainly came up to expectations - I had been a little sceptical in view of the price. The whole \"Cream tea spa treatment\" was very relaxing and great value. Thank you Marriott County Hall and SpaSeekers. |

Great girlie day out When we arrived the staff were very helpful, taking us for a tour around the spa and making sure that we had everything we needed. The spa itself is very clean and well equipped. The decor is very nice and the music and smell of the aromatic oils help make it a very relaxed atmosphere. It would be hard for anyone to not sit back, relax and forget about everyday life for a while. After our treatments of a facial and manicure (both very good). We were treated to cream tea in the restaurant downstairs. Where we sat looking out over the London and Eye and River Thames, eating our scones. It was bliss. When the experience was over, we stayed on to have cocktails in the bar not wanting the day to end! It was a welcome break from the city, even though we were in the heart of London! |

Blissful Retreat Brilliant day at the spa. The lady who did all my treatments was lovely and did an amazing job of my full body massage! The spa itself was a bubble of relaxation where you can forget about everything. 10/10 for cleanliness and facilities and to top it all off lunch was delicious! Salmon and potatoes finished off with strawberry cheesecake went down a treat! |

Great value Very briefly as I wrote before but the e-mail seems to have been mislaid! We had a great time. Very happy with the staff, service and treatments. The spa and pool were clean and calm and treatments as good as any we\'ve experienced. Co-ordination of tea with scones could have been a little better but, when the scones arrived they were freshly baked and delicious. Someone has clearly taken a previous criticism to heart as we had just two scones each which was ample. The hotel furnishings could do with up-grading and the very deep sofas and chairs in the lounge where tea was served would benefit from a few cushions to give some back support - but we were there for the whole experience which we thoroughly enjoyed and we felt was great value. Thank you London Marriott and Spaseekers. |

Londons Best Kept Secret Having researched various spa facilities in London with a view to giving my daughter a birthday treat, the Marriott at County Hall offered the most reasonable and attractive package. This was entrance to the spa for the afternoon from 1.00 p.m. to 6.00.p.m. with the use of all the facilities, plus a treatment plus a cream tea. But would the visit fulfil my expectations and provide a real treat for my daughter\'s day? Emphatically -yes all the usual facilities. the steam, sauna and Jacuzzi were very good and the swimming pool, which appeared to me to be Olympic size, was awesome. All the facilities were spotless and my daughter and I choose a body scrub. This was wonderful and we felt both re-invigorated and relaxed afterwards. The cream tea was delicious! |

London\'s best kept secret Our Spa day was a special surprise birthday gift for my daughter and 3 friends. The Marriott did not disappoint, in fact it surpassed expectations. From the lovely courteous staff to the fine swimming pool, the Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms and contrary to other spas which we have visited, the copious quantities of towels provided, the facilities were faultless. Having whiled away an afternoon out of timer chatting and sampling all the munificence on offer, we ended the day with a body scrub which was wonderfully relaxing leaving the skin smooth, supple and soft as silk - Heaven! Oh! I nearly forgot, All of this and a cream tea too I have ensured that everybody, including Santa knows what I want for Christmas |

a feel-good experience If you want to unwind and get away from the busy streets of London for a day, this is just the place. The setting is lovely, right next to the London Eye and with beautiful views across the river, as the spa is on the fifth floor of what was County Hall, now the London Marriott. We used the well equipped gym, swimming pool - the largest in London apparently, the Jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms. And all this before our tea! After tea downstairs in the beautiful lounge, we went back up for our treatments, which were very relaxing and as good as any I have had, and a perfect end to the whole day. The spa staff were very pleasant, efficient and professional and we were well looked after throughout. My criticisms are few, as this was extremely good value - the treatment rooms could do with updating, the robes need replacing, and eight scones for two is just ridiculous! |
