wonderful staff ! My family stayed at Hellidon in November- 6 adults (4 of whom had never stayed at a Spa hotel before). From the outset staff from front desk to bar, to restaurant to the wonderful Peter on the leisure reception was above average! We all felt very welcome in a hotel that actually felt family run. Amongst my party was a 73 year old gentleman who had never been on a Spa weekend and who can thoroughly recommend the fabulous treatments received as can the other guests. Special mention has to go to Jay on the bar for being there when needed and always willing to help. The hotel in general we felt needed a little freshening up but the food was fabulous and the value for our package none of my family members could believe. Spa seekers were very helpful in organising the Spa to the point of ensuring 5 of us had treatments at the same (requested) time so we could relax together. Fantastic! |

relaxing, soothing but shabby The treatments (back massage and facial) were lovely, except therapist didn't complete the facial missing out the toning phase and going on straight to moisterising after taking off face pack.Overall treatments gave the desired effect of feeling totally relaxed. Dissappointed however with lack of spa facilities, no chill out room (although website shows pictures) no where to relax after treatments. Pool room so hot like a sauna.Food at lunch time poor, soup not hot enough but food for evening meal very good. Overall hotel bedrooms clean and comfortable but communal areas needed a good lick of paint and some new clean furniture in the lounge area.Lovely country location but a bit let down with overall quality of hotel, wouldn't stay again. It's a shame as treatments were very good but hotel stay is as important . |

Great Place to Relax. Me and my wife had a really fantastic stay at the Hellidon lakes Golf and Spa Hotel. We arrived on Saturday morning was made very welcome. We made full use of the facilities and had a Neck, Shoulder and Back Massage followed by a Facial which was totally amazing. The Cleanliness of the Spa and Hotel was at a very high standard and we was impressed with our room. My only issue is that on the dinner menu you advertise a Steak Burger which my wife orderd but when it arrived it was not steak and the burger was full of onions which it did not mention on the menu as my wife does not like onions and she would have orderd another dinner had she of known this. |
