Clean, sumptuous, relaxing, professional
I vistied Fives Lakes in january 2010. The surroundings are plush, and tranquil, the perfect setting for a relaxing break. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. My spa experience and treatment left me feeling relaxed, pampered and serene. The only downside I can comment on is that as the venue is also used for coporate events, the dining areas are mixed between spa users in gowns and corporate event attendees in suits, which made us in the gowns a little uncomfortable. Other than that, I would enthusiastically recommend this venue to friends.

Set in 320 acres, Five Lakes Hotel, Golf, Country Club and Spa is a superb resort hotel combining the latest in sporting, leisure and health activities with a range of conference and banqueting facilities.With two 18-hole golf courses, one of which is championship standard, the hotel is already recognised as one of East Anglia’s leading golf venues. The 194 bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and offer every comfort and convenience. The 114 room hotel offers a variety of elegant bedrooms which include four-poster rooms, executive rooms and suites. The Village, set aside from the main hotel, boasts 80 contemporary bedrooms, complete with balconies or patios and great views, ideal for conference delegates and wedding parties.

There is a choice of restaurants, where good food is complemented by excellent service. The Camelot Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant, offering a choice of menus with seasonal variations, using fresh produce from the local area. The restaurant holds two AA Rosettes in recognition of the talent of the chefs and their high standards of cuisine, and the efficient and attentive waiting staff. Camelot is a stylish restaurant with a remarkably calm and relaxing atmosphere. Service is attentive and discreet, carried out by a small, dedicated team of professional staff. The treatments at the Spa were very good and the meal that was included was very good. Did not like the Pool and Sauna facilities. This was used by everyone at the hotel and there were lots of children in the pool. There were not enough chairs to sit around the pool and relax. I enjoyed my spaseekers pamperday package. I felt it good value for money, even though this is not a health farm is very relaxing with good leisure facilities. Lunch was delicious even though the service was a little slow. All in all a nice day out - better than going to work!Guest Rating
