Relaxation & Pampering

The Verbena spa’s style is English country chic, with lots of comfy sofas to curl up in and plenty warm colours and textures throughout. This style continues into the treatment rooms with warm fabrics complimenting the natural wooden floors (with under floor heating of course) and natural lighting. A south facing terraced garden with a large decked area means that the summer sunshine can be taken advantage of next to our outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Our product house is Elemis which blends perfectly with our natural unstuffy ethos. Healthy light lunches, juices, smoothies or even a glass of fizz can be enjoyed from our large juice bar that is open all day. Additionally we have two manicures stations and one pedicure station for which we use essie products.

Exercise & Activities

The location of the Feversham Arms Hotel is perfect for all forms of outdoor activities. The walk to Rievaulx Abbey is popular as you can start from the hotel and walk three miles across the beautiful north Yorkshire scenery. The Yorkshire moors are just a stone’s throw away with a variety of walks for both ramblers and experienced hikers. Helmsley is also popular for other country pursuits such as shooting, fishing and cycling. The Yorkshire Moors and surrounding landscapes offer some of the best cycling in the UK, including The White Rose Cycling Route and the Moor to Sea cycling Route However, you don’t have to leave the hotel to take some exercise, we have a wonderful outdoor heated swimming pool, open all year round.

Unique Attractions

-The double treatment room means that guests can have their treatments in tandem, for example our couples massage is always popular. The outdoor terraced area with outdoor hot tub is wonderful any time of year. The gardens were designed by Matthew Wilson of the RHS and the hot tub is wonderful in both warm and cold conditions. Juice bar serving a selection of smoothies, iced teas, light lunches and afternoon tea.

    Incredible day!
I booked this package (Mother/daughter) but actually took my sister, to celebrate her 30th birthday. On arrival, we were welcomed by the hotel staff (even though we were not hotel guests) and our car was whisked away and valet parked. This really set the standard of the whole day.We were given iced tea all day and got changed into our robes and flip flops. The staff printed our intineries and honestly, they could not have been more helpful. The relaxation room was full of comfy sofas, magazines and even though the spa was busy, it was so peaceful. Lunch was served at 12.30pm, I chose the Spa tapas and as my sister said, she had 'food envy' when it arrived. Three tiers of mussels, salmon, cous cous, potatoes, parma ham, etc-stunning! Treatments were amazing, we even got to keep the nail polish!Pool, hot tub, heat experience were gorgeous, we are going to make it an annual treat!

    Wonderful relaxing day
There was some initial trouble with the booking - we had booked for a Saturday, had checked availaibility prior to booking, booked in reliance upon that but were then told 'no availability'. I don't think the Spa like taking bookings for offers over the weekend although Spaseekers sell a spa day for the weekend here. However, after some perseverance and speaking to the Spa Manager, Lisa, the matter was resolved and we were accomodated. The Spa itself is lovely - lots of squishy sofas and lovely magazines to read. The heat experience is also very nice. Lunch was great, although a little on the small size. Left plenty of room for afternoon tea though! (Extra, but so worth it!).My treatments were lovely and very relaxing but my friend complained that her back massage was very poor and a as though the beautician did not really care about what she was doing. Overall though, fantastic!

    Fabulous Birthday Treat
My husband booked me a surprise spa day for my birthday and it was a fabulous treat. The package included use of the sauna rooms, outdoor hot tub and outdoor swimming pool, a wonderful lunch and an Elemis facial. The sauna rooms were clean and very good and the staff were terrific and very friendly - nothing was too much trouble. I found the facial wonderfully relaxing and loved swimming outdoors on the edge of the North York Moors. I will definitely return - soon, I hope!
