Rushed Once I was undressed and waiting on the bed, it seemed a long wait for her to come back into the room I looked at the clock and it was 12 mins past the hour and she still hadn\'t arrived back in. The back massage was brilliant one of the best I\'ve had, facial was nice too but the scalp massage which should last 30 mins was no way 30 mins as advertised I came out feeling a little bit ripped off. Looked at the clock again in the room and it was 16 mins past the hour so I didn\'t have my full 1hr 30 mins which I feel is not fair. Pleased with my nails and the treatment lasted half hour. So overall I wouldn\'t go back even with the discounted voucher they gave me for a next visit. Shame because the staff were very good and quality of treatments good but not long enough!!! Birthday treat Being relatively new to spa treatments/experience etc, I found the staff very helpful. We forgot to bring the gift voucher but the staff did their best to find a way around this. The premises were quite small and pokey, not particularly conducive to a relaxing environment. Generally a nice experience. Hidden, but good I loved Dove Spa. Everyone was friendly, I was massaged into a happy near-coma and my nails looked sparkling. I am a reasonably nervous sort of person and the spa is not my natural habitat, but I felt reassured and had a very positive experience. The spa day I had been given included use of the Virgin Active facilities (it was a sunny day so I did not spend much extra time there, but the facilities all seemed clean and capable of absorbing a lot of visitors without becoming manic) and a lunch. I was a bit disappointed with the cafe - service was slow and the choice of food was not dissimilar to my old student union one - but it was a very small part of the day. Other reviewers say that this place is extremely hard to find; I know the area well and was just about fine, but the directions on the Dove website and the outside signage are inadequate, I am afraid. not really a spa.. If you are looking for the full Spa experience this is not the place to go, it isn't a Spa, it is a well equipped Gym that has a beauty salon in it.I booked the mini pamper day which i thought was great value and the treatments were really good although my friends mini pedicure was shortened as the therapist was running late. The hydropool area is nice, very clean and spacious but the whole experience here was not as relaxing as a spa day should be so i was left feeling disappointed. We selected this venue rather over an alternative as they provided robes however there were not any robes available as Virgin Active were "experiencing problems with their supplier" I would have expected Dove Spa to have their own robes not rely on Virgin Active.Overall this is a nice venue just don't expect to have the relaxing experience of a real Spa.
