Lovers Spa Day This spa is really well presented with lovely decor and good facilities. The Lovers Spa package included use of pool, sauna, steam room, light lunch and 3 treatments which were delivered in a twin treatment room. Everything was fantastic in general, however I feel this spa is missing something really important. There is nowhere to sit and relax before your treatments other than 3 loungers by the pool or a cafe bar in the entrance. However, after our treatments we were shown to a pool named \'Relax\' which had individual bed to lie on in a calm atmosphere. I couldn\'t understand why we were not given the option to use the room earlier in the day! We had used the swimming pool etc, then sat in our robes to eat our lunch, however we then had 1 hour to wait before our first treatment and the only real option was to sit in the cafe area watching sky news! Hardly relaxing! Such a shame... |

On a plus my treatment was good (facial and massage) The staff in the reception area including the cafe were very pleasant but not customer focused. Asked for a knife and fork for eating and they only brought me one and not my friend! We had a good value day though. |

enjoyable Most enjoyable day. Staff telephoned me prior to the day to confirm arrangements. Good to have one therapist and one room throughout treatments. Lunch/eating area rather dismal so ate lunch in main hotel. Depsite there being family changing facilities, children were in the spa\'s main changing area. |

Great experience We had very relaxing experience and were made to feel comfortable. Staff were friendly and the treatment were very good. The only thing to improve the experience would be to have an area for spa day guests separate from people just staying at hotel as it can get busy. |

Perfect, spectacular, relaxing, amazing The spa experience was a surprise birthday gift from my daughter. She tells me everyday \'mum will you just relax and chill out for once!!\' and i always tell her i can\'t relax because there\'s always too many things to do. So she decided to plan a day all to myself to just relax and not have anything to worry about for the full day! And that is exactly what i had. I began with a lovely warm welcome which instantly set me up for a wonderful day. I enjoyed the pool and an aqua aerobic class to begin with and then went to lunch and had the most beautiful meal. Everything was just perfect. When it was my time to go for my treatments i just couldn\'t believe how amazing it was with the dimmed lights and the beautiful warmth as i entered the rooms. The treatments were just breathtaking. I have never felt so relaxed in my entire life! I\'ve told all of my friends and family about it and highly recommended it! I just loved it from the minute i got there to the minute i left. To sum it up in one word; perfect. |

Wonderful! I really enjoyed my spa day at Oulton Hall, which is in a beautiful location in Yorkshire, it was quite busy in the pool area as we went on a Sunday; but the Spa area was quiet and serene! I went with a friend and we thought the relax area was gorgeous with beds that you could adjust, raising the feet or the head. The treatments were excellent, Espa was the product and the beautician who did my facial was very helpful and knowledgeable; I have taken her advice and my skin has improved. She was a good masseuse as well. All was very relaxing! My friend, who is an Architect, was very impressed with the facility; seemingly they have used the most expensive Westmorland slate for the roof of the modern spa building, which just reflects the standard of the detailing inside and out! |

Relaxing, refreshing and stimulating I was thoroughly impressed by the staff, very helpful but not over the top and \"in your face\", just the right amount of contact so you did not feel abandoned, but they were not intrusive. This was important as I went with my sister in-law who was a spa virgin. The staff were excellent with her, taking the time to explain everything in as much detail as she wanted. I like the fact that the products used for the facials etc were not pushed on me to buy (I have been to quite a few spas and this can sometimes be an issue).The girl who gave me my treatments was fantastic, a real sweetie who managed to \"read me well\" as a client, and we had just the right amount of chat, but again not too much so I could chill out to enjoy my massage. I was not expecting much from the food, as it got mixed reviews on the site, but mine was delicious. Like Arnie...I will be back!! |

FANTASTIC DAY Decided to treat myself for my 40th birthday; had a full body massage, facial & head massage, manicure and pedicure. Bliss!!! I had a drink on arrival while choosing my lunch from the menu, lunch was lovely. It was lovely to just chill for a day and the staff were really friendly. |
