relaxing experience I was surprised that the included lunch hadn't more healthy eating options. The salad came with disgusting croutons and a creamy dressing although the omlette was delicious. The spas I have been to before gave a full body massage as one of the three treatments rather than just a back massage. I would prefer only two treatments and have one as a full massage. The pedicure wasn't really - it involved no cleansing, massage or exfoliating - merely application of polish. Perhaps the pool is a little shallow for a Spa. 1.4 metres max for proper swimming is a little too shallow.Still I had a relaxing day and the staff were very polite - well the treatment staff were. Those on reception were rather off hand and brusque. |

Sooo relaxing! Had an excellent day. Really relaxing - enjoyed using the facilities then having my treatments and the included lunch was lovely. The spa does look like it needs an update however I did enjoy my treatments. I found the spaseekers website very helpful when choosing my spa experience. |

Poor! My Wife and I were given a Pampers Day for two by my brother as a present. Mottram Hall in Cheshire was decided upon. Twice they cancelled the Spa day, once when we got there! Third time lucky we thought. What a disappointment for £200! My pamper day did not last as long as it should have. The food was poor, the Spa area and changing room not particularly clean, full of screaming kids, and not very relaxing. I wish we would have chosen another spa from the spaseekers website. We have had many massages and treatments across the world and this was definitely the worst. |

The forgotten spa! My partner and i went to this spa after booking it for my 30th birthday. The greeting we got was less than warm and we were promptly informed that one of the beauticians was off sick so he 'didn't know if our treatments would go ahead'. Nonetheless we were told to come in to the spa and someone would come and keep us informed. We occupied ourselves in the gym and lunch time came and went (this was supposed to be included). We went to the desk where no one wanted to take responsibility for us. Finally (after standing in the cold reception wrapped in a towel - no-one had offered us a robe!), someone looked up our booking to discover we had been booked in on the wrong date - one month out - and we couldn't be booked in again until March (a 4 month delay). Not much of a birthday treat and really poor customer service. We finally got an apology which was, by this point, completely underwhelming. We're booked to go back in March and I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it. |
