thoroughly relaxing day We were overwhelmed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff from the therapists, receptionists to the bar staff. The place was fresh, light and clean just the ideal place to relax. The treatments were carried out with care and attention which instantly put you at ease and left you feeling refreshed and totalling pampered. We have visited other spas however I would definitely make arrangements to return to Clarice House Colchester, in fact we are discussing making a regular fixture throughout the year. |

a wonderful, relaxing day Best spa day ever. We would highly recommend a spa day at Clarice House. The day was very well organised and went like clock work. Staff were friendly and professional. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a facial, full body massage, manicure and pedicure, which made use feel like we were walking on air. We made full use of the facilities, lovely. A two course lunch was included in our package and was perfect. Can\'t wait for our next visit. |

Chilled and relaxed My friend and I arrived at the spa after a stressful week and by the time we left we were both completely chilled and relaxed. The facilities at Clarice House are very good and well maintained. The treatments didn\'t feel rushed as if you were on a conveyer belt so you felt well and truly pampered. The swimming pool area is very inviting and I enjoyed a good hour swimming, chatting and relaxing on a poolside lounge. My only criticism of the pool facilities was that it was hot and fairly airless. Every so often I retreated to the changing room area just to breathe some cooler air. The lunch provided was very good. It is as good as you would get in any top restaurant and portion sizes are just right for a lunchtime. The staff are friendly and approachable which helped add to the overall enjoyment of the spa day. I will definitely be back! |

Great day. Exceeded expectations for the price. Staff courteous and professional, treatments top notch. The facial was sheer bliss. I will return for more. The pool area was great and laying on a bed looking at the snow covered grounds after exiting the aromotherapy room was like being in a ski resort spa. Overall excellent value . Take your own robe and slippers and a non glass bottle of water. |

Very special My daughter and I had our treatments in a double room. Both girls were lovely very professional didn\'t speak too much but were very friendly, my daughter had unfortunately got a stomach bug but they were very helpful letting her rush off to the loo!! It was an incredibly cold frosty day when we went minus 11!! There was loads of snow but it was sunny and the grounds looked incredible. After our treatment we went for a fabulous lunch, however my daughter was feeling even worse and couldn\'t face the food she had ordered but the gentleman in charge of the restaurant was very helpful and brought her orange juice and a cheese sandwich and sat us in a quiet spot out of the sunshine. The pool and spa facilities were lovely but we couldn\'t stay too long because of her sickness. We will definitely be returning as I want Leanne to really enjoy the full spa experience. |

Sadly not welcoming I went to the Spa with my sisters. On arrival we were shown into the dining room to book in, the very first thing we were asked was if we had bought robes with us as hire of robes was not included in our package, something we hadn\'t realised as on the web site it said it was included, in the confirmation letter it said they weren\'t but as the letter contained several mistakes we thought this was another one. Needn\'t have been a problem but there was no room for manoeuvre at all on the part of the spa, despite having robes on display for hire they would not hire any to us - even at additional cost - as they were not included. The welcome was very unfriendly, we were left waiting for half an hour for our tour, however the treatments were good and beauticians pleasant. Wouldn\'t honestly recommend it though, have been to much better at comparable cost. |

best experience ever It made the perfect birthday gift for my fiancé (even though he was slightly concerned that he would be the only male there! which he wasn\'t!) spent some quality time together and had a lovely relaxing time. The facilities couldn\'t be faulted, the staff were really nice - spoke to you if you wanted to chat or remained quiet during the treatment if you wanted to relax. The food was amazing! Beverages and additionals were all reasonably priced, wasn\'t put under any pressure to spend and were left to do as we pleased in between treatments. Very well organised, wasn\'t over crowded, treatments were on time, lunch served efficiently etc a wonderful day! Would go back tomorrow! We will definitely be visiting after our wedding if my girlfriends don\'t book us all in sooner!! |
