The Clarice House Day Spa in Colchester is the latest addition the the Clarice House group, and with it's extensive range of Germaine de Cappuccini and ESPA treatments, you just know that a pamper day here will leave you feeling beautiful.
Set in a sensitively restored old house in 20 acres of parkland, the setting is just right for a chilled out spa day, and inside the spa you'll find 16 therapy rooms, 20m swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool and much more.
Robes and slippers are not provided.

Our beautiful and fully restored country house, set in 20 acres of parkland grounds, with contemporary spa facilities provides the perfect retreat for your indulgent spa day. The spa is warm and relaxing and boasts a 20m swimming pool, relaxing hydrotherapy pool, spa bath, sauna, steam and aromatherapy rooms. You can add additional treatments to your day from the extensive treatment menu using only the best products from Germaine de Cappuccini, ESPA, Gelish, and OPI. Lunch is served in our award winning restaurant and is an indulgent treat. We regret that use of the gym is not permitted on a spa day. Our day spa experiences do not include fitness classes or use of the gym, however, our inviting 20-metre swimming pool is great for a few lengths and then relax in the adjacent hydrotherapy pool. Our award winning restaurant uses only the finest ingredients, locally sourced where possible, to create indulgent dishes and if you fancy a glass or two of wine with your meal, that's fine! Q. What's your philosophy on 'Wellness' and what do you do to encourage this?
A. Most of our guests visit with friends and simply enjoy a great day out together. However, if you want a day with the emphasis on Wellness we can tailor a day for you, with complementary therapies through to a detox lunch.
Q. Do you have a 'Signature Treatment'?
A. Yes, a luxurious Germaine de Capuccini Mediterranean Delight; A Mediterranean Light Candle is burned, emitting a wonderful fragrance of soothing lavender and mandarin. The warm wax from the candle is then poured over the body with a prolonged massage to ease tension and relax the mind.

A. We don't enter awards; our high level of repeat customers speaks volumes. However, we have won Best Essex Restaurant and AA Rosette awards for our cuisine.
Q. Explain what 'mod-cons' you provide in the hotel and spa?
A. The spa facilities are state of the art. The whole spa is a mobile and Wi-Fi free zone to ensure total relaxation.
Q. How would you cater for different dietary requirements?
A. Yes, all special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
Q. Have you had any celebrities visit?
A. Oh yes we have!, but unlike some other establishments we are discreet enough to not say who!

best experience ever It made the perfect birthday gift for my fiancé (even though he was slightly concerned that he would be the only male there! which he wasn\'t!) spent some quality time together and had a lovely relaxing time. The facilities couldn\'t be faulted, the staff were really nice - spoke to you if you wanted to chat or remained quiet during the treatment if you wanted to relax. The food was amazing! Beverages and additionals were all reasonably priced, wasn\'t put under any pressure to spend and were left to do as we pleased in between treatments. Very well organised, wasn\'t over crowded, treatments were on time, lunch served efficiently etc a wonderful day! Would go back tomorrow! We will definitely be visiting after our wedding if my girlfriends don\'t book us all in sooner!! |

Beautiful, Relaxing Day We arrived early to make the most of our day, and the first treatment was at 09.00hrs. The staff were helpful and courteous, the massage was relaxing and set us up for the day. After a swim and steam a relax on the bed was in order. The under floor heating in the pool area made it very hot and the beds were not comfortable they were very hard. Lunch was delicious, and after lunch we enjoyed a pedicure, manicure and facial. The pedicure could have been better; nails were not clipped and hard skin not completely removed but it was only 30 minutes. The facial was very relaxing. All in all a good day and very good value for money, in above average surroundings. I would recommend it. I can\'t wait for my next one! |

Great Value for Money Clarice house was not the most luxurious spa that I\'ve been to, but the value for money was outstanding! My friend and I brought our own robes which I would recommend as the robes that were available to rent (£20) did not look very comfortable. Additionally, spa patrons are unable to use the gym which was unfortunate. However, my friend and I each had a facial, massage, body scrub, a manicure and pedicure, and the treatments were top notch, and the massage was definitely one of the best massages I\'ve had. |

Supreme Spa Day This was the ultimate SPA Experience - a body polish, massage, facial, manicure and pedicure and a two course lunch. Whilst full price it was a little expensive, because we booked through spa seekers it was 2 for 1 so it cost £90 each which was well worth the money. My mum is in her 70s and I booked for the two of us to go as one of her Christmas presents. She had a fantastic time and can\'t wait to go again! I find all the staff at Clarice House Colchester friendly and polite and they never make you feel uncomfortable about yourself. By the time they had finished with my mum she felt half her age! This is the second time I have booked this package - I went with my friend before and as long as the 2 for 1 offer stays, I will definitely be booking it again. |

Mega spa I was so impressed by the amount of treatments you got for this spa day, there was hardy any time for sauna and pool time - not that I am complaining at all! The staff and spa location was fab as usual - I have been before but this trip and spa option was totally amazing you felt totally looked after and pampered and left floating on air. Luxurious experience A recent trip to Clarice House, Colchester did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded expectation other than a small problem when checking in over a missing voucher.We had a fairly full on day with body polish, full body massage, facial and manicure and pedicure but left feeling like we were walking on air and incredibly relaxed. The staff are all very friendly and professional and the spa itself just has a lovely feel to it. The added bonus is that the food is very, very good so an indulgent lunch was also very much enjoyed. I would highly recommend this spa and will hopefully be visiting again soon. |
