Accommodation
Bedrooms at Bishopstrow House are as characterful as the public rooms. Each of the 32 rooms has its own very distinct personality from the luxurious country house opulence of the Oval Room in the main house to the understated elegance of the Longleat Suite. The garden wing rooms are all delightfully spacious and airy and also enjoy direct access on to the grounds. If you really want to spread yourself about, try one of our large courtyard suites. The Shaftesbury and Weymouth Suite, for example, have a downstairs sitting room that has a light, summery quality and a spacious bedroom and luxurious bathrooms they even have plasma screen. The Dorchester Suite is equally impressive, but has a completely different character, with deep terracotta red walls.

Or visit the fabulous Perry Carson hair studio and treat yourself to the full creative attention of his team of stylists. Exercise & Activities
For those of you keen to enjoy a slightly more active visit, the indoor and outdoor heated pools will prove irresistible. A quick splash before breakfast is the perfect 'wake-up call' or unwind with a leisurely dip before dinner to give yourself a good appetite. The turquoise splendor of the indoor heated pool could well prove irresistible after a hard day's site-seeing or shopping. Step up the pace even further with a brisk workout in the fully equipped gym or fast game of singles on the indoor or outdoor tennis courts.

Bishopstrow House is set in 27 acres of the beautiful Wylye Valley. Our river garden boost a boat house, summer house and a stunning Doric temple next to our own stretch of the Wylye River, it is a ideal place to relax and unwind, you can even take a picnic and make a afternoon of it.
If you fancy stretching your legs, take one of our one or two hour guided walks around the grounds and surrounding area.
Cuisine
The award-winning chefs at Bishopstrow House use the finest, freshest ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible and often organic. The result is genuinely imaginative dishes that delight and inspire, tempting even the most jaded of palates. The cellars are equally impressive, offering an excellent selection of both rare wines and vintages for special occasions and more everyday wines.
The Mulberry Restaurant, named after a tree in the grounds, is a beautiful and gracious golden-yellow room overlooking the gardens and the adjoining Conservatory. The Conservatory leads off the restaurant and is a bright airy room often used for breakfast.
Bishopstrow House has several rooms that are so perfect for private parties.
The Wilton Room, for instance, is a lovely rich room with Victorian red walls and an open fire. In winter, candles, soft lamplight and luxurious curtains make it beautifully warm and cosy. In summer, sun streams through the large, dual aspect windows.
