What a weekend! I recently enjoyed a 2 Day Spa package with an old friend from my university days. Back in March I turned 50 and my friend will be 50 in June, so we promised each other a weekend away to catch up, relax and have a break from our usual lives of children, work, etc! The weekend was just what we needed - great food, polite and efficient service, relaxing surroundings and treatments. We really couldn\'t have asked for anything more except to stay for longer!! Thank you to all the staff at the Walton Hotel you should be very pleased with the experience and service you provide. |

Great 60th birthday From the minute my party of 17 arrived we felt pampered. The hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and special, with excellent food, atmosphere & rooms. Everyone enjoyed their spa experience and on the coldest, snowiest weekend of the year; the grounds lent themselves to a perfect setting for a winter wonderland walk the next morning. It suited both the under 35s and the over 35s, and everyone went away wanting more. |

Good value break My friend and I enjoyed the one night \"Girls Night In\" break, which we found very good value. For the price the hotel, food and setting were excellent. The spa experience was OK. The pool could have been warmer and more luxurious and the relaxation room was very dark (magazines were provided but there was too little light to read them!), a bit cool and rather noisy due to the pool pump, but our treatments were enjoyable. We had a lovely time, but considered it more of a hotel break with a couple of hours using the pool/spa facilities than a spa experience. |

Beautiful setting My 3 girlfriends and I go away on an annual spa trip somewhere different every year. This year we went to Walton Hotel, chosen because of the mid country location and the reasonable package price. The overall condition of the spa was okay, but the treatments themselves were fantastic and served to fully relax us all. The staff were very accommodating, considering that they were very busy and I was late! The location and the grounds of the hotel were gorgeous. The rooms were fine, my only complaint is they need air-con; it was a very warm day. The food was relatively good considering the overall price we paid for the weekend. All in all, this was a lovely weekend, and I would highly recommend the spa treatments and the setting of this hotel. |

GREAT HOTEL AND FOOD The hotel, staff, food and treatments were excellent. The spa and pool area was a huge disappointment, the reason; 1. Far from relaxing, it was noisy (counted 10 children/babies in the pool). 2. The pool itself was small and too shallow around the edges. 3. Expected the spa to have a Jacuzzi, but it didn’t. Looked at the facilities after I realised there was no Jacuzzi, but to be honest I didn’t even read beforehand just assumed there would be a Jacuzzi as ‘Spa Break’ depicts these facilities. Despite the spa area let down my friend and I had a wonderful break with beautiful surroundings around the hotel. Fabulous food and breakfast and the room was lovely. |

Ladies Night The hotel was very good, rooms bright and clean. The evening meal was of a high standard as was the breakfast the following morning The lesuire facilities were of a good standard, the pool being lovely and warm.The spa treatment was a bit of a hit or miss depending on which therapist you had,one was a traniee. SPLENDID HOTEL, FANTASTIC VALUE I booked a rather last minute 2 day spa break for myself and my daughter as her belated birthday treat.From the outset, the welcome at the hotel was warm and efficient. The hotel and the adjacent grand hall lie in an exquisite location surrounded by beautifully-arranged grounds and open countryside with a river running through. Our room-although only classed as standard- was fresh, spacious and well-appointed and the hotel's contemporary refurbishment was stylish with well-arranged communal space. The spa - a short walk across the courtyard -offered a well-equipped gym which we made full use of plus the usual sauna etc. Our only disappointment was that the (good-sized) pool was closed following a boiler breakdown. We each enjoyed 2 x30-min treatments with the delightful beauty therapists - my mini-facial was truly wonderful - and the spa itself is very tranquil in mood and decor.Our 2-day 'revitalise' DBB package was exceptional value, including extremely fine dinner on both nights, full buffet breakfasts, lunch on one day, a welcome bottle of champagne and chocs, the aforementioned treatments plus use of all leisure facilities. I have particular praise for the staff who were all extremely friendly, obliging and efficient. One could sense good teamwork and management.All-in-all, we were delighted with our stay and are resolved to return for a summertime trip when we can explore more of the surrounding countryside and see the gardens in bloom (everything was enchantingly snow-covered this time).For anyone wanting a romantic wedding, the Hall, with it's pretty little chapel, would make for an idyllic venue. |
