Great spa to visit ! Everything about my spa day was great. The treatments were amazing, during the facial I fell asleep, and it was just so relaxing! I think my only criticism of this spa is that it is quite cold. There is air conditioning on even in the coldest months and when your swimming or relaxing it can be really cold! For a 4* hotel, it needs a bit of work doing, like these are a few tiles off in the bathroom and it generally needs a little makeover, but all the same it was still a lovely place to go. I especially liked the relaxation room, really nice loungers to lie / sit on while reading a magazine with a tea or coffee and plenty of fresh fruit available. |

Instantly relaxing Having had a stressful journey to the spa, I felt instantly relaxed when I arrived. The treatments were wonderful and lunch delicious.The decor in the spa was a little tired - not dirty or broken, just needed a coat of paint - but we had a relaxation room with a sea view to ourselves, and the underfloor heating in the changing room was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, but we felt the day could have been organised better. Following experiences at other spas, we were expecting to be given an itinerary for the day, but the arrangements were a little haphazard. On the plus side, we were able to delay our afternoon treatments to allow for a longer lunch, as the half hour allocated would have been very rushed otherwise. The beauty therapist seemed to be working in her own light while doing the manicures and pedicures, so this area could have been better designed. |

Not bad, not great The spa facility at this hotel wasn\'t that great but perhaps I was expecting a little more from a 4* hotel. The pool, spa pool and steam room were clean, warm but perhaps a little small so best to go off-peak or at a quiet time if possible, otherwise you end up getting a bit too cozy with some random old man in the jacuzzi. The staff were helpful and pleasant, although I\'m not sure if the receptionist was expecting me. It would be nice for guests who are having a pampering day to be greeted by name; just a little personal touch which would make the difference, but that\'s not a criticism of the staff or the standard of the treatments, which were very good. The massage and facial were lovely, and the manicure/pedicure were of a high standard. So in summary, not the poshest of venues but I left feeling pretty chilled with nice looking nails, so job done! |

Fantastic This was a birthday surprise for me and it was wonderful. The room was huge with a terrace overlooking the sea, champagne and chocolates waiting in the room. We stayed two doors down from the spa and could wander down in our gowns and slippers {provided}. Had facial,and pedicure my partner had back massage, all treatments excellent.The hotel was lovely,full of character and in an idyllic situation overlooking the sea.We had breakfast and dinner for two nights and couldn\'t fault it,good food and good service.The only complaint was the £15 a day car parking which we weren\'t aware of beforehand. |

A Relaxing Experience Arriving, on my own, on a cold wet January morning I was not quite sure if I would enjoy this experience which had been given to me as a retirement present. However I need not have worried because it was thoroughly enjoyable. The swimming pool was pleasantly warm and had marvellous views over Torbay. I was very impressed with the serenity room where tea, coffee and fruit were freely available and you could chill out on the comfortable lounger chairs. I was fortunate to have sole use of this room for the day. After a tasty, well presented meal I enjoyed the treatments in the warm , comfortable treatment room . Carla, was professional and discrete and made the whole experience very relaxing. I particularly enjoyed the back massage and later slept for an uninterrupted twelve hours - unheard of! This is definitely an experience I want to repeat. |

Slightly mixed but overall good experience It was disconcerting to arrive to find no one on reception at the spa, we waited for more than 10 minutes and even went to the main hotel reception to try to find out what we should do.....however once the treatments started the experience was a positive one with friendly and helpful staff, and the food was very enjoyable. |

fantastic My husband paid for a \"Mother and Daughter pamper day\" and what a day it was, would do it over again with no hesitation. Loved every minute of it. We both loved the Jacuzzi, didn\'t want to get out! The back, neck and shoulder massage we both had sent us to sleep! Who wouldn\'t, dimmed lights, soft music and lovely oils massaged into your body. Felt so refreshed by the time we left. |

Treat me days My friend and myself enjoyed a lovely day at this Spa it is the third time this year I have been there and would highly recommend it to any one for a lovely day out, the staff are very friendly and a good laugh the treatments are superb such good value for money. So relaxing, friendly approachable. The only thing that let it down was the reception gentleman was not too helpful; it seemed too much trouble for him to sort anything out. However the ladies who did the treatments were brilliant. |
