Lovely Day shame about lunch It was a first spa experience for me and it was wonderful. The day was spoiled a little as I was under the impression that the package included lunch. On arrival I was told that I would be given a luncheon voucher for £6 only to find that the cheapest sandwich was over £7 with a pot of tea the voucher was inadequate. The staff and the venue, Shrigley Hall, were wonderful. It was a pity about the misunderstanding. |

A lovely hideaway The hotel was easy to find, with excellent parking facilities. Our room (Premium Double Room) was very spacious, with a gorgeous 4-poster bed (you have to request these, and they're allocated on a first come first serve basis, so check in early!). The room wasn't quite ready by the specified 2pm, but 2.20pm. We made use of our time by eating in the (not so reasonably priced) bar / lunch area. The treatments were excellent, the therapist was lovely. Our only criticism was the strange formality of the restaurant in which we ate our evening meal, it was bereft of atmosphere, it almost seemed like a function room with tables in, rather than a 'restaurant', hence the ambience wasn't quite right. Granted, it was Valentine's weekend, so maybe it was indeed an over-spill area. The food was delicious and the service excellent, which kind of compensated for the lack of atmosphere. |

Needs a facelift The appearance of this hotel from the outside is superb but the interior of the spa is a particular disappointment, the pool and changing rooms needs a facelift which is a shame as the treatment rooms and staff were very good. I used a mini pamper day voucher and enjoyed the treatments, but it needs some money spending on it. |

Such a perfect day What Wonderful day my mother and I had the staff made us feel very welcome. The Spa was clean and well maintained, my overall satisfaction is very high, we could not have asked for anything else to make our day more perfect. Many thanks for gving us such a memorable day.
