Very good but not great
I took my spa-virgin mother for her birthday this year, and she totally loved it - think it may become a regular thing! The staff were fantastic - couldn't have been more helpful, very polite and we even had a guided tour beforehand, which I have never had with other spas. Place was very clean and all the facilities were in full working order, again sadly something I've had a problem with at other spas. We had a joint treatment and the therapists were great, taking into account my mum's bad shoulder and back and even suggested some exercises along with advising seeking medical attention. The downsides were the food and drink facilities - very limited and not that easy to go and have a hot drink whilst still in swimming gear. Also during our treatments, there was an aerobics class next door so the relaxing music in our room was somewhat over shadowed by the heavy drumbeats! Thank you!

My mother and I went for a birthday treat for her. We were well looked after, got handed fluffy dressing gown and towels on the way and given a tour round. We took advantage of the facilities, doing a yoga class, swimming and the steam room. After a sandwich for lunch it was off upstairs for the treatments. Been as we were together, we were treated in a twin room and the treatments were done together. A half hour back massage, followed by a facial were amazing and one flowed smoothly into the other. The therapists were excellent and the treatments topped off an excellent day out.Guest Rating -

I booked Mini Pamper Day for myself and a friend in Dec 08. This included 3 30 min treatments (back massage, head massage and pedicure). the spa facilities (changing rooms, pool, sauna etc) were clean and good quality. The beauty treatments were lovely and the therapists very professional. However there were a number of things though that did detract from our visit. The package was meant to include a "light lunch"" but the Bannatyne's facilties only included a very expensive hot drinks machine (over £1 per drink) and a chiller cabinet of very unappetizing sandwiches - not what we expected! We ended up going elsewhere for lunch at additional cost. "Guest Rating
