Great to relax
Overall we had a relaxing time . The facilities were good and the staff were pleasant and helpful., but there were one or two small disappointments. 1. Our lunch was pretty uninspiring. It was o.k., but something like a tasty healthy salad might have been more welcome.2. The website stated that we would receive a 45 minute massage, followed by an Indian head massage when what we got was o 30 minute massage ( which was great ) followed by a very brief head tickle.It would have been nice if there had been a warm quiet place to go and lie down and rest after a treatment or session in the steam room/sauna. We've experienced this in other spas and it adds a great deal to the relaxing nature of a spa experience.

This was 40th birthday present and had an enjoyable day. A couple of things could have been explained better. Towels were not supplied an we had used the pool. We were given 1 each but told they dont provide them. There was no shampoo in showers. Had we known this we would have taken them with us as we were going out straight after. I phoned twice to confirm and wasnt asked if we wanted to add any treatments on so when we arrived and asked they were to busy to give us anothing else. From entering Bannatynes you feel special and wanted. The whole place is very clean and the feeling of luxury, to me, was nice. The staff are very very friendly and helpfull. If you are feeling a little self concious then you need not be they do not care what size you are everyone is treated the same way. In the gym the instructors are very helpful and cheery. The SPA was fantastic to me my back masage was to die for Dawn was friendly, helpful and attentive to my needs. Very Impressed. Food was lovely (i would say re the food i am a very plain eater dont like things mixed together not much choice for me) i still managed to have something though.
