great day, very relaxing Had a lovely day at The Chevin, spa day was a present, I had the gym, pool and sauna to my self most of the day. Felt like a celeb! The hot tub is great sat in the sunshine by the lake with the daffodils out. I had a back and shoulder massage, the team in the spa were lovely, friendly, happy and knew what they were doing - sorry girls didn\'t catch your names. I had lunch in the bar, fabulous salmon salad, spend some time just reading, relaxing and not doing much at all ......... something I thought I wasn\'t capable of doing - according to my other half will definitely be back, on a day pass and have asked for vouchers again for Birthday, Easter, Anniversaries, Christmas ...... |

good value for money This was a half way retreat to meet with my cousin from up north. We booked the overnight stay to include the 7 course taster menu along with 2x30min pamper treatments. Have to say the staff were all very polite and friendly along with friendliness of the other paying guests I am a connoisseur of massage and have to say the treatments received were excellent. The heated massage bed is definitely a winner. The food was excellent 10/10. We were both looking forward to our day to relax in comfy fluffy slippers and complimentary robes, regrettably no slippers were available and not going prepared with suitable footwear we had to walk around barefooted which was our only complaint and criticism. Would definitely book again and recommend but would take some footwear next time just in case!! |

Simply idyllic Chevin Country Park is simply idyllic…the setting is absolutely stunning! A sunny Saturday afternoon was spent in the gorgeous outdoor hot tub!The beauty therapists were really friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my Elemis facial.The log cabin in the woods was perfect for a girlie get together, a little disappointed that the deer didn’t make an appearance though! I can imagine that the restaurant overlooking the lake looks fabulous all year round! The food was delicious and nothing too much trouble for the catering staff.T here\'s plenty of sight-seeing to be had in the surrounding area with lots of little market towns to discover! A perfect break set in a wonderful, peaceful location where you can relax and recharge your batteries....I would definately recommend this location and can\'t wait to visit again! Thank you to everyone for making my stay so perfect! |

great little getaway After discovering an offer of 1 nights stay, evening meal, breakfast and 2x½ hr treatments for only £99.My daughter and I decided to have a little me time. Well we couldn’t let a bargain like that pass us by. After entering the entrance of the Chevin. (for the first time).The calm tree driven pathways leading to the quaint log cabins. Made my heart skip a beat. This place is a great escape for your sanity. You can immediately feel the calmness and tranquillity of this little haven wash over you. This place is a little piece of heaven. The log cabin was clean, warm and cosy. With t.v, kettle and wi-fi. Although we did have trouble getting a signal. Which is understandable considering you’re in the middle of a forest. We had everything we needed for an over night stay. After getting settled, we headed for the bar for a few drinks.(Well we had come to chill our beans)Followed by our evening meal. We had a choice of 3 courses from the lakeside restaurant menu or 2 courses from the bar menu. We opted for the lakeside menu. Which I must say was exquisite. At breakfast time there was ample choice to suit everyone’s needs. No one could ever complain of going hungry. All the food we had consumed was quality. At midday we went for our 2 treatment we had chosen.1/2hr back massage and 1/2hr facial/head massage. Very, very relaxing. The therapist were very professional and calming. The staff in every department was so helpful and friendly. Their professionalism made us feel like we were VIPs. We had a great time, and it was down the staff for making this possible. We got the top notch treatment. Otley Chevin is a place i would definitely return to. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s planning a relaxing time. |

Very relaxing few hours I went with my sister for a spa afternoon at Chevin Spa on a Friday in early September 2011. We had recently lost our Dad to cancer and the Spa very kindly said our Mum who is 82 could come with us to relax.We both had a swim in the pool which was great. We also went in the Jacuzzi and steam room. Before our massages we had tea and biscuits out on the decking checking out all the birds near the lake.We both agreed our massages were the best we had ever had - so relaxing - much needed as we had all had a very stressful summer.Would certainly recommend the spa to other people. |

Total Relaxation We have a very relaxing day but were slightly disappointed with the lunch selection and quality. It would have been nicer to have been told we could have arrived at 10am rather than 10.30am to allow more time in the pool, sauna etc. We would definitely use the facilities again and enjoyed the day although I would question the overall value of the deluxe pamper day at £135 it was a touch expensive and had work not been paying I would have thought twice about booking it. |

Relaxing day Overall I found the day very relaxing and the location is beautiful. However, the staff seemed very thin on the ground and we had to wait around quite a while on arrival just to be greeted at reception, and then again once we had filled in our health questionnaires. Having said that the spa was lovely and quiet, we pretty much had it to ourselves a lot of the time despite it being a Saturday. The outdoor hot tub was my favourite, simply because the view of the sun on the trees and lake in early Spring was something to behold! The lunch provided was delicious and healthy to boot. The treatments we had later in the day were a welcome treat, although I was a little disappointed with the quality of my manicure (although my friends was very good). I would definitely come again! |

Well worth it A very relaxing hotel in a wonderful location with helpful and friendly staff.I travelled alone in an attempt to totally chill out post Christmas and I was made to feel very welcome. The hotel is amazing and I felt like I could have been in a log cabin in the Swizz Alps! My stay began with a facial and massage and then I moved to the pool area which was lovely and warm, with sunloungers for relaxation and a bit of peace. I used the pool, the jacuzzi and the outdoor hot tub, as well as the gym, which had all the necessary equipment that a regular gym goer needs. The food in the restaurant was very tasty, lots of choice and very healthy.Only about 10 miles from the hussle of Leeds city centre, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind. I will definately be returning. |

relaxing, rejuvenating, enjoyable day The spa day at chevin country park hotel was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel was well sign posted and easy to find. When arriving and entering the hotel the staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Our day was explained and were shown to a room to sit in whist filling in our menu for lunch the view from the room was amazing. Our first treatment started the day well as it set the relaxation pace for the day, the room was clean, tidy and the music was soothing and relaxing. After we were shown to the spa were we spent a few hours relaxing in the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi overlooked the ground which was well kept amazing picturesque countryside. Then followed the rest of our treatments whichwere so relaxing almost fell asleep. The day was the perfect way to get away with my mum as it was a mother and daughter break, I would definitely recommend this hotel and spa. |
