brilliant As a single parent i was in desperate need of a break. I haven\'t had a night away for over 3 years!! A friend recommended i take a spa break. I never thought I’d be able to afford it. I did a quick web search and found one close enough to run back home if i needed to. It was such good value, i chose a 1 x night weekend spa package and went with a friend who is a total stress head with work! From the moment we arrived we were so impressed. The staff was so professional and friendly. Our room was amazing and the food fantastic. The facilities in the spa were second to none.....and, no-one bats an eyelid at you wondering around in your slippers and dressing gown. To be honest i was so relaxed i wouldn\'t have cared less anyway! We will be coming back regularly! |

Excellent value, great spa just come home from a one night spa break included lunch,dinner, breakfast and two 25min treatments each. must say the hotel was lovely clean and all the staff very friendly indeed, would recommend to anyone for a nice relaxing break away, the room was lovely and spacious and very modern too. wish we had made full use of all the facilities more as the pool looked very inviting. just one thing that i would like to mention is at dinner its 3 courses but none of the waiting staff mentioned that steak which was the dearest on the menu you have to pay a supplement for as it was not ALL included in the spa package deal !!! other than that was first class and will def be returning again. |

Relaxing day Staff were very helpful and explained our intinery before giving up a guided tour. Enjoyed every minute of the treatments and use of the facilities. Lunch provided was extremely good. My only criticism would be a bigger bath robe for my husband! |

nice break away Unfortunately I was recovering from flu when I attended my spa experience so could not make the most of the pool, sauna etc the first day but it was a great experience. It was my first ever absence from my family (hubby & 3 kids) over night. My husband had organised lunch & dinner for me too. The spa staff were lovely & I loved relaxing (for a change). I would say that if you can share an over night experience with a friend it would be better as I felt a bit strange sitting on my own for meals. The accommodation at Ashford was very welcoming & the meals DELICIOUS! I had the back & head massages (my first ever) & felt comfortable & relaxed at all times. I did enjoy a swim & use of the sauna & steam rooms before leaving. There were lockers available to put your things in after checking out so you could continue to use the facilities at your leisure. |

Relaxing and enjoyable day I booked up the mother and daughter pamper day on a Saturday, which included neck, shoulder and back massage for both of us, a facial also for both and choice of manicure or pedicure each. The treatment rooms are lovely, the staff friendly and the treatment itself was of a high standard and very relaxing. Only one disappointment was that the choice of manicure of pedicure was actually just file and polish which wasn’t quite the same but a bit misleading in the description. After relaxing we had lunch which was also included and orders taken when first arrived. We were given the choice of staying in our gowns which we chose to do but wasn’t aware that we\'d be eating in the hotel bar, in view or everyone else which was a bit strange but we overcome it when others for the spa also in their gowns arrived. Food was lovely. We then enjoyed a swim, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. A good day in all. |

Complete spa experience The main reason for booking this spa was the 20 metre pool. Unfortunately, as it was a weekend there were lots of children around and no one had thought to rope off a lane for swimming so never got a swim at all! Was disappointed with the hot stone massage - never had one before, but it wasn\'t as brilliant as I had expected and would have been better with a Swedish style massage. As it was a special birthday treat this was a real shame but may have been due to the therapist\'s lack of experience possibly. Alison Legg did my manicure and pedicure and was absolutely fantastic. Polish on my toes still intact 2 weeks on and on my hands lasted a whole week! She was utterly charming too - top marks! Scalp massage lovely and facial surpassed expectations - very impressed. I even used the gym which is not like me at all! Spa showers not the cleanest and NO TOWELS available. Hotel fabulous! |

Heaven Sent A well deserved break for me and my husband, it was a treat really for him for his birthday, something he had never done so he was very wary. Massages and facials he says are for woman but that weekend changed his reservations. He loved it so much and has said that he would love to do something like it again. It\'s nice when you choose the right place to make someone happy and leave them feeling totally satisfied and hungry for more. |
