snobby staff Beautiful spa. Perfect location, Staff were very competent however I felt they were snooty and looked down on me . While this is one of the most idyllic looking spas I have been to with some amazing treatments, I would not visit again because of the staff. |

An amazing experience From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were made to feel special and important, not just one of many guests. The facilities are superb and perfectly clean, the room, whilst a little small, was excellently appointed and fabulously comfortable. The bar is quintessentially British with its log fire and comfortable chairs...the restaurant is unstuffy, friendly and leaves you with a taste that needs to be lingered over coffee and a brandy in the drawing room...all in all far too short a visit, we will be returning in the very near future to enjoy all the delights this location has to offer. |

excellent My friend had book a spar day at Armathwaite Hall as a treat for my birthday we had an excellent day from start to finish the staff were very accomodating whilst showing us around the spar, all area's were exceptionally well planned and sparkling clean, lunch was delicous, our treatments were very proffessionally carried out, we were tucked up in the rest room afterwards which was heaven the only points to improve on an excellent day would be the towels would benifit from more fabric softener and slightly larger ones the classes advertized were not avaiable on the day due to insufficent guests to participate but we were more than happy to soak up the restfull atmosphere in the spar instead will certainly be returning. |

Friendly, relaxing, great! Very relaxing experience! Staff could not have been more helpfull and the treatments were fantastic. The spa is located in woodland with amazing scenery and the outdoor hot tub is so relaxing. We didn't book a meal with our treatment but the cafe in the hotel serves really ggod food. Would definitely recommend this spa to anyone. |

Relaxing Dreamy Day Thank you so much for a lovely day. I brought 10 girls along as part of a hen-do and we all had a wonderfully relaxing time. The treatments were top notch and I think we all let out a small groan when our half hour was up. A little luxury was the prefect way to wrap up a weekend of camping. relaxing The second time i have been to the new Armathwaite spa (150% better facilities than before the upgrade!). The sunset package can be used in the afternoon as well as evening. Spa seekers were helpful when i messed up the booking, and armathwaite were graceful. my massage hurt, but has done wonders to get the knots out of my shoulders - no pain no gain! We went on a Friday afternoon and not too busy, good availability of appointments. Outdoor jacuzzi is a highlight watching the rabbits in the grounds. will definately go back for more indulgence! |

Very pictuesque and luxurious Wonderful setting. The Hall grounds and views are lovely and you can see it all from the outdoor hot tub. The hydrotherapy pool with the various steam, sauna and shower rooms around it was designed particularly well. My massage was good and the staff were very friendly. Going to a spa is not something I'm too familiar with but I didn't feel at all intimidated or 'out of place'. Lunch was delicious and the quiet relaxing room was wonderful.I had put my name down for a class but had to find a member of staff to find out why it wasn't on (I was the only person interested) Had I been told that earlier I would've had my lunch later and spent longer in the Spa. I was left feeling at a bit of a 'loose end' so went for a walk to the lake which was great but I felt I hadn't made the most of the 'wet' facilities (I didn't feel like swimming after lunch).The Spa feels luxurious, relaxing and friendly. The only surprise after saying that was that the toilet paper was the most cheap and nasty I've seen in a long while! it certainly didn't match the rest of the experience which was quite expensive.My day at the Spa was given as a present and it certainly felt like a special treat |

A spa as gorgeous as its location! Armathwaite's new spa really has the wow factor. Both my family and I had a wonderful time - treatments were great and the facilities are so lovely, you'll find you don't want to leave the hotel! My children were quite happy too as there is a great children's pool as well. The outside hot tub was fab - enjoying the beautiful scenery and open air while roasting in the tub!The hotel itself is beautiful and the food is great. With views over Bassenthwaite lake and plenty of walking in the grounds. There is also Trotters World of Animals to entertain the children (entry is free as it's owned by the hotel). So I'd definitely recommend this spa, with or without family (I've been twice now and it's been great both times). |
