This was my second time at Sopwell House in 3 months. Had a lovely time, rooms are nice and spacious, food is lovely, the spa treatments are very nice and all the therapist are very professional, the pool is clean and the grounds are lovely. Will be going back with another set of girlfriends.
I visited Sopwell House Spa with a friend having booked the Spa Day deal. Included was a full buffet lunch which was excellent. The facilities were clean and modern and we had a very restful day. The only downside was how hot it felt near the pool area.
We had a wonderful day. Only 1 little blip. we had booked lunch for 12.30 was down for 1.30. But front desk changed it for us. We both said we could of had longer there. we had arranged to be picked up at 4.00. next time we will stay later. wonderful massages. both felt very refreshed. It was m y daughter’s birthday so we had a great time. next time we have promised to take my husband with us. Definitely would recommend to friends.
The spa and hotel staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The three treatments I had were excellent - mission accomplished ... I came away completely relaxed and pampered. The pool was beautiful, with lots of luxurious seating - both indoor and out - in which to relax and chill. I thoroughly enjoyed the three course buffet lunch - lots of choice and tasty, freshly made dishes, continually topped up. The whole day was a great success and fantastic value for money - I recommend without reservation; I will definitely visit again.
A wonderful relaxing day. Efficient and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
A spa with history and an excellent pedigree, Sopwell House was once home to the late Lord Mountbatten, and these days it’s an elegant and most refined country house hotel with Georgian style, inviting and welcoming to day spa visitors and overnight spa break guests alike. The bedrooms are traditionally-styled and relaxing but still have all the modern touches like en-suites and wifi that you’d expect from a luxury hotel. The food is excellent, with a selection of dining options. Acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside await exploring and the recently refurbished spa is a relaxing place to spend some down time.
Find your way to the gorgeous spa and you'll be in relaxation heaven with so many treatments and experiences to choose from. Settle into one of the tranquil treatment rooms and you can have a face or body treatment with ESPA and Clarins treatments on hand to make you feel wonderful - with the help of fabulous, friendly and professional spa therapists. There's also Jessica Nails available for manicures and pedicures and a selection of massages and holistic therapies for serious chilling out. After a treatment, explore the spa and you'll find the beautiful pools, relaxing thermal suite and experience showers to finish off your spa day in style.
There's no excuse for not using the fitness facilities here at Sopwell House - the gym is state of the art and comes fully equipped with all of the very latest Technogym equipment to give you a full on body workout in style. Working out in the gym isn't everyone's idea of the perfect spa day, so if you don't like the sound of it, you can always get down to the swimming pool, which gives you the perfect excuse for a session in the sauna or steam room!
There are plenty of options to choose from if you feel a bit peckish here. Light bites and quick drinks are catered for in the Terrace Lounge or for a leisurely chat over a cocktail or two there's a Cocktail Bar just waiting to tempt you in. For a more substantial meal, the restaurant at Sopwell House is the place to find fine dining and a delicious menu, and the Brasserie offers great menus but in a more relaxed setting.
