Shabby, overpriced and awful food My partner booked me in for a valentine\'s spa package. £125 which included a rushed tour of the premises including fire doors and exits. The treatments were short and not value for money. My massage therapist was friendly but clearly had not had much training. My facial consisted of a rough head massage and then an attempt at selling me some of their products. There is hardly any room to lounge and the \'\'restaurant\'\' is a room tacked on to the cheap cafe serving not so great food. If you think you are going to the main hotel restaurant with lovely ambiance and in a nice building - think again. This spa is not attached to the hotel and only one of the gallery photos on their website is actual of the spa building. Our lunch consisted of guacamole on rocket leaves to start (called avocado mouse) and the most dry chicken with a salsa made from pickled onions. The pool is dank and small, you have to share the change room with the local gym members as well as the facilities. Not at all what we were expecting. What a disappointment. |

roll on next treat On arrival staff seemed a little moody. We were given our itinerary, booked a fitness class around our treatments and then were given a revised time schedule, but it all worked out in the end. Our induction to the premises was a bit of rush around and when we asked for clean towel later in the morning were told it may be a problem as they were in short supply! However...Treatments were fantastic and the therapists friendly and professional. Lunch was great too. The facilities were plentiful although may be a little worn in some areas. However we ended our day very happy and relaxed and had enjoyed our experience agreeing to do it again before too long. Start saving now for next time. Suggestion. Had to ask for decaf drinks would have thought it should have been there as a matter of health choice. Over all super day. |

Mixed The quality of treatments and staff was very good, so was the food and the general location. The spa itself was not so good - the pool is small, the jacuzzi is very small, and it looks in need of a general refurb. The robes and towels we were given were, literally, threadbare, and my friend and I were asked to share a locker as there were not enough. The changing rooms upstairs for the treatment area is very cramped, although there is a larger changing area downstairs by the pool. We had to carry our wet towels around with us all day, there are no fresh towels available in the changing rooms. The experience could have been much better with some attention to these details. |

Blissfully peaceful. Spent the day at the spa. When we arrived we were kept waiting for 10 minutes as no one was at the desk, we were then shown through to the seperate spa reception area, not advertised very well. We were welcomed by the staff, asked about lunch, we were not told before hand about the prices for this, think it should be advertised on website. After this we were shown around, and the whole day was blissfully wonderful. The facilities are clean, comfortable and relaxing. We had a tea in the spa lounge, went down to the pool, A little bit too cold but pleasant enough.We spent time in the lovely jacuzzi, steam room and sauna before heading back upstairs for a FANTASTIC MASSAGE. Masseuse was brilliant.The food was outstanding, 10/10 totally satisfying, highly recommend the food. I would also recommend walking around the hotel surroundings, beautifully wow.10/10, already recommended. |

Spa Day to Remember IHave been on 2 Spa Days on my own before (at Nutfield Priory) and really enjoyed them. But this time I managed to persuade my husband to come with me, as I thought he would really benefit from it. And I was right! He was a bit fidgety waiting for the first treatment, but after the first treatment (back, neck & shoulder massage) his whole body language was more relaxed and he was very chilled out! So we both enjoyed the day very much, although there were a couple of times when we were waiting for quite some time. |
