The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The lunchtime food was very good and well presented. The treatments were excellent and the ambience in the treatment rooms was perfect. The only disappointment was the lack of slippers! We ended up roaming around in bare feet as we expected slippers to be provided on a pamper day. The thermal suite area also looks a bit tired and in need of refurbishment to bring it in line with other spa's visited. Part of the Jacuzzi was not working which was rather disappointing.
No reception staff on arrival, when she returned & explained she was taking a blind couple to their room. No problem. Champagne afternoon tea delightful, enjoyable. The couples massage was excellent, although we thought we would be in the couples room, need to book that - unaware. The staff were fab! The sauna and spa pool were poor, change rooms smelly, pile high of dirty robes No good. Overall the experience was good, room was comfy , dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Love the spa days here. Excellent treatments, very relaxing. No hard sell (always a bonus). Excellent facilities. Nice and quiet, often have the place to ourselves! Go on a lot of spa days but the Norton mostly as its close and offers excellent value for money. Areas to improve, member of staff needs to just whizz round periodically to check for litter etc. Drinks facilities in spa need looking at, water in fridge wasn't fresh and coffee machine broken. Will be back soon.
Very relaxing day. Lots of choices of saunas and steam rooms. Disappointed that no robes were available. The food was very nice and recommended. Massage was amazing however not keen of being tempted to buy treatment creams and lotions. But massage by Ryan was really good he was very pleasant. The day went so quick.
We booked the romantic spa weekend through spaseekers, and found the booking process easy. Unfortunately the weekend didn't really meet our expectations! The hotel was a little tired, but acceptable. Food was very good, and service fine. The spa was a little basic and in need of a revamp, but the treatment rooms were very good. The weekend was ruined by a party at the hotel, which had loud music until after midnight, followed by shouting, chanting and general drunken behaviour until 2am.
There’s a full range of pamper days on offer at this delightful spa hotel, which is just eight miles away from everything that’s going on in Manchester City Centre, and you can also stay overnight and be pampered in style in one of the comfortable rooms at the Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa. The spa is just perfect for a bit of chill out time, the hotel is set into some tranquil, landscaped gardens and countryside that makes you forget that you’re so close to a busy city, and there’s everything you could possibly want from a luxury spa break from an inviting pool and sumptuous treatments to delicious food.
The gorgeous Spa Naturel here is a sublime haven of total relaxation, where you can hide yourself away, be massaged, pampered and beautified in comfort and then wander off to spend some quiet time relaxing. The Decleor treatments on the spa menu will make you feel a million dollars as you're massaged and spoiled by attentive spa therapists, and after you've been relaxed or rejuvenated with delicious smelling lotions and oils, the pool awaits you, where you can enjoy a dip in a hydro pool (indoors or outdoors) chill out in the relaxation area or make the most of the sauna and steam rooms.
There's no shortage of opportunity to work out if you want to make the most of it. Not only is there an absolutely gorgeous, large indoor heated swimming pool for any water babies who fancy a leisurely (or even not-so-leisurely) swim, there's also a fully equipped gym for a full on workout, covering all the bases with cardio and resistance machines. Indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pools are on hand to take away aching muscles afterwards...
There are two charming eateries in the hotel, the Pickwick Bistro and the Grange Restaurant. The Grange has a varied International-style menu, bursting with flavours and plenty of delicious dishes to tempt your taste buds. The Pickwick Bistro is for less formal dining, and you can enjoy a quick drink here or a delicious freshly-prepared lighter bite, with a menu of meals and snacks to enjoy while you relax in comfortable surroundings.
