I booked this spa day as a treat for my two sisters and myself.
We had the "Refresh and Revive" package. We were treated like royalty by Natalie the therapist. The facilities were lovely and we relaxed immediately.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the lunch and the service. Good value for money.
Overall the experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Thoroughly recommend it.
Excellent value for money. 2 treatments and 2 course lunch plus full use of facilities. We used the swimming pool, the steam room and sauna room. Then also used the jacuzzi. I had a facial which was my very first. It was so relaxing, it not only involved the facial but I also received a foot massage and a neck and shoulder rub. The second treatment was a French manicure. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was a treat for my daughter who was to get married the following day. Well done !!
I booked the 'Lovers' spa day for my husband's birthday! Althought the outside of the hotel is far from luxurious, the inside was much nicer. Excellent....staff and service. We were offered tea/coffee on arrival and the robes were nice. The treatments (facial, back massage, manicure, scalp massage) were all wonderful and the therapists were lovely, professional and friendly. The treatment rooms were nicely decorated and the atmosphere was one of relaxation and tranquility. Good...'light lunch' was actually a two course meal and very filling. However, a choice of a jacket potato or a salad rather than sandwiches or panninis would have been appreciated as many people struggle with wheat, myself included. The restaurant was nice, staff lovely and more tea and coffee. Areas to improve: Access to the pool is via the gym! Although robes were supplied (not slippers though, so need to take own flip flops), it felt strange and disjointed to have to walk through the gym and therefore the spa area felt like a bit of an afterthought. The pool is small and the sitting area is minimal, with no loungers, just chairs. Could be made to feel more 'relaxing' and a water dispenser would have been nice. The Jacuzzi was really good, sauna and steam also good.
All staff very friendly and helpful. Massage was very relaxing. As my face is sensitive the girl doing the treatments was happy to swap the facial for a different treatment when I asked. Lunch was very nice. Pool small with Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna in same area. I was the only person in pool area for most of the time so size of pool was not a problem. The whole day was excellent and I would definitely return to The George Washington. SpaSeekers were great when helping me with booking.
The spa had a 2 for 1 Elemis facial special offer. I had my first facial on the 4th February, and as soon as I walked out, I felt amazing. I was so relaxed and my face was beaming. I loved this treatment, and I cannot wait to go back for my second facial.
