the Mercure Last Drop Hotel and Spa in Bolton seems to be frozen intime, with cobbled streeets, antique shops and a little pub.

Inside the hotel it's anything but old-fashioned, with a selection of eight treatment rooms all using Orly, Decleor and Jessica - among other great spa brands - to make you feel amazing.

In true spa style, the heat and cold are represented with a thermal suite of a rock sauna, bio-sauna, laconium, and two steam rooms, one with aromatherapy - and the cool part comes from the hydro-pool with snail showers and an ice fountain.

Relaxing! Me and my mum had a lovely relaxing day, spa was lovely. We both absolutely loved the facial! Only downside was the afternoon tea included in the package.. Sandwiches and cake weren\'t fresh and not much selection. Friendly, comfortable, relaxing, romantic Me and my partner visited Last Drop Village for a romantic night for two this valentines day, and we were blown away by its beautiful setting and friendly staff.From the arrival at reception, until leaving the next morning we were automatically relaxed as everything ran smoothly and efficiently. The treatments were also brilliant, we opted to have a back massage and we were both very relaxed after this, having to go back to the room to have a nap! The spa was lovely, with a great swimming pool, a beautiful thermal pool which led outside to some breathtaking views, and a choice of around five steam room/saunas. The atmosphere was very clean and looked very well looked after. We had a meal which was lovely and we couldn\'t fault, with an added pianist plating romantic songs which really added to the mood of the evening. I would certainly return to Last Drop, in fact we are thinking about when we can go again! Relaxing, bliss, peaceful Treated my mum and nan for Christmas and was better than we expected. Enjoyed use of jacuzzi, sauna and pool in the morning. Lunch on the terrace was lovely and then waited in the relaxing room until our massages which we all enjoyed. Finished the day by having a look round the shops. Perfect. Fantastic relaxing day The facilities available at the spa were second to none. You had everything you needed for a wonderfully relaxing day. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn\'t fault the staff and facilities. The lunch was ok, not a great deal of choice, but was ok. Free coffee and cold drinks all day - lovely to have. Didn\'t need to spend anything on the day. Slightly disappointed with the manicure / pedicure...I felt this was rushed and the manicure should have been a full one, not just a file and polish. First class pampering Fully enjoyed by all of our party of ladies. Wasn\'t expecting too much just a relaxing weekend treat from the boys. Was more than pleasantly surprised by how welcoming all of the staff were and how well we were treated during our stay. Also it wouldn\'t be fair if we forgot to single out how excellent the food was, both presentation and taste were of a very high standard. Possibly My Worst Spa Experience Ever Ok, so positive first. The swimming pool and sauna area is lovely. No complaints. But I was excited for my facial treatment which my partner had booked for my birthday. I was sent upstairs. No one around to tell me where to go. Found my way to relax area, no clean glasses for a drink. Sat there while the lady called a completely wrong name 4 times- not even close to mine. Things can only get better....So my treatment begins, therapist huffing and puffing as someone had called in sick. Asked me to lie on bed. Did not ask me to remove any clothing so I did as she said. It later became apparent clothing was very much in the way. Therapist continued to tell me how \"it was going to be one after another today\". I felt like I was an inconvenience. The treatment was in NO WAY relaxing or to a deluxe spa standard. I felt terrible telling my partner just how disappointing it was. FANTASTIC DAY I had a mother and daughter spa day as a Christmas present because my daughter had not long had a baby and I thought that she needed to be spoilt a little. It was a very enjoyable day from start to finish. The staff were all really friendly and the treatments were lovely. I�m sorry that I didn�t have more treatments than we did. relaxing and heavenly The staff could not have been more helpful, everything I needed such as a robe and slippers was awaiting me in my locker. I had a wonderful swim followed by a sauna prior to an early lunch as my massage treatments were scheduled for 1.30. The massage was wonderfully relaxing and the facial left me skin feeling so invigorated, and to end the day a manicure. I was going out for a meal with friends that same evening and following my spa day I felt 100% on top of the world. So relaxing Upon arrival the reception staff were friendly and helpful, showing us around and explaining the benefit of all the different saunas/steam rooms available. As we were there for a relaxing day we did not make use of the gym, but spent the time either side of lunch and our treatments, in the swimming pool, saunas, and steam rooms and inside / outside whirl pool. The hot stone massage was wonderful and the facial treatments were excellent, tailored to each of us individually by the professional staff. In summary. My mum & I had a wonderful day and would definitely recommend this spa to others.
